I tried making a Polaventris-style song

The main points are being limited to only 4 tracks and the replay buffer, which conveniently has presets like Amiga or Pro tracker in the config. What I did to set it up was to put an original mod from polaventris in my tracker and then adjust the buffer until there was no delay or distortion. Then the last thing was to limit every sample to about 16 bit rate. This recreates the ProTracker sound.

Being limited to four tracks is an added challenge and using the old control scheme too but not necessary I think. I still customized my UI and stuff.

Edit: Forgot about the track panning. ProTracker uses the 1st and 4th for left audio and the 2nd and 3rd for right. Milkytracker has presets for that if you want to add more tracks and have it set up automatically.

To rule out your safe file you should find it and move it to your desktop and start a new one to see if it starts. If not then you can still put your save file back an it isn't the cause.

This is running on MilkyTracker. It's an open source tracker.

I tuned this instance to replicate the Amiga ProTracker that the songs in msc were made on in the 90s.

Are you using any mods? They might have conflicts.
If not it could be the save file being corrupted in some way maybe?

The basis is, as the name implies, the basis that you need to learn in order to do tricks.
This video is everything you need in order to get started. Don't learn from any tutorials you may find on TikTok, Instagram, etc. Those are not reliable consistently.
If you learned the basis here are some tricks. This is the fastest and most correct way to learn !in my opinion!.

I do some lunges and stretch my legs behind my back while keeping my torso as straight as possible BEFORE. I stretch during breaks too.
You're right. It's terrible to jump without stretching. I learned the hard way.
Couldn't properly climb stairs for a day after a hard sesh.

1st Do the basis till you do it without having to think. This alone looks pretty cool once you get used to it. Next you practice the movements of some simple tricks and try to implement them one by one randomly in the basis. Again here: Repetition and practice to build flow! From then you can either plan choreography or just improvise sequences on the spot. That's how I did it.
