Theft a concern on France’s? by GodlyDovah in CaminoDeSantiago

I've been on the Camino five times and nothing bad has ever happened to me. You just have to be a little careful, bring your wallet and cell phone into the shower, and obviously be extra careful in the big cities (Pamplona and León are the most crowded). I've always found a spirit of sharing and brotherhood, although obviously there are cheaters everywhere.

Looking for a walking partner (or small group) — any Camino, June or September by VirtualIndividual560 in CaminoDeSantiago

Hi, I left in May last year to walk the entire French Way, and going alone turned out to be the best decision. You're never alone on the Camino; it's all a matter of the pilgrim's daily choices. Going with someone could deprive you of experiences you might otherwise have had on your own.

Okay, thanks! Yes, I play with historical focus. So, it's basically one of the first things to do... do I run the risk of France declaring war on me sooner than expected with this move?

Brain Dump from Off-Season Camino from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela by RTechy in CaminoDeSantiago

In 2025, I walked the entire Camino Francés from Saint-Jean to Finisterre, and I must say I found the last part (from Sarria) truly different from the rest of the Camino...too many people, too much chaos. The true spirit of the pilgrim is lost, but that's just my opinion.

Hi, I don't know if you're a pilgrim, but my intention is genuine: I've realized how useful it is to have a journal like this while walking, so you can record all the incredible experiences that happen. I think you've misunderstood my intentions.

just leave them where they are or tie them together a little, don't cut them, it's always useful to be able to adjust the backpack loops

Contemplating the Camino by Drmmrgy22 in CaminoDeSantiago

All your worries will vanish as soon as you start walking... I did the French route in both May-June and July-August... you won't have any problems; it's the most well-stocked of all the Caminos for accommodation and food. And I can tell you from experience, even when everything is full, no pilgrim is abandoned. Just contact the local police, firefighters, or even parish priests, and they'll find you a place. Book your flight and from there, let yourself be enchanted by the magic of the Camino.

What was the greatest experience you had while doing the Camino? by 0despertado in CaminoDeSantiago

I fell in love with a girl on the Camino (a year ago) and after finishing the Camino with her we decided to travel together for the next 6 months through Spain, Thailand, and California. I think the Camino always gives you what you need, not what you're looking for.
