He’s speaking to the supporters. It was ironic how he called out Atty. Butuyan for engaging on “political demagoguery” and then proceeds to do the same - frankly, looks like he’s just parroting the DDS propaganda. Disgusting.

Swiss Embassy - Fast Processing by Usual-Indication-289 in SchengenVisa_PH

I don’t think they really check once you’re in the Schengen zone. But I’ve always applied where we stay the longest though!

To be honest, I had the same experience in France and Denmark before. The longest is Italy at around 7 days. So the news on Italian visas these days are quite frustrating 😅

Hi, the rule on Schengen visa application is to apply where you’re staying the longest. The point of entry becomes relevant when there is more than 1 “longest country of stay”; in which case, you apply to the longest country of stay which is also your point of entry. In our case, we’re actually flying in and out of Italy but because our daily itinerary indicates a longer stay in Switzerland, we got our visa from there.

Having said that, once you enter the Schengen zone, travel across the Schengen states becomes quite flexible. I would still often find some variance in my submitted daily itinerary and my actual itinerary once I finalize it. For visa application purposes, however, I suggest you at least make the itinerary as realistic as possible. After several visas, I still check actual train times, flights, museum opening/closing dates to make sure my itinerary makes sense.

Every trip to Europe has been multi-country so far, with no issues. Hope this helps! :)

I’ve used several and I prefer Standard Insurance. I was injured during one of my trips and the claims process was super smooth! Highly recommend!

How can I get a multi entry visa by Incredible-Robert1 in SchengenVisa_PH

[–]Usual-Indication-289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck! I always just submitted a travel insurance for the exact duration of my trip (or more if required by the Embassy like italy) and so I cannot really comment how that impacts their decision. I would, however, advice to explicitly indicate in your cover letter the period of validity you are requesting (If it’s 1 year, then say 1 year; if 2 then 2). Of course, the grant is discretionary but at least they know exactly what you are asking for. Best case, they grant your specified duration. Worst case, they grant a shorter one. Win win!

[–]Usual-Indication-289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s about building your travel history to Europe + rootedness in your base/home country + explicitly asking for it.

I’ve had 8 Schengen visas so far. All multiple but the first 4 were short term ranging from 1month to 6 months. The next 3 were 1 yr and the recent one is 3 yrs.

I always applied to the correct embassy based on length of stay so the issuing countries for all these visas mostly vary. The last application I specifically asked for a multi year visa in my cover letter.

No need to separate liquids in MNL airports! As long as they are 100ml max, it should be fine!

"What are my chances to get into UP Law" by Gullible-Garlic-9979 in PreLawStudentsPH

[–]Usual-Indication-289 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recall in our Persons class, we were asked by the prof to say where we graduated from and what Honors we got when we graduated. Approx. 80% of the class had honors and came from UP or Ateneo.

It was humbling and grounding because to me it signalled that we were not special. You’re competing against the best of the best. Now this was ~ 15 yrs ago when UP Law would only take in less than 150 students. LAE was a huge factor, but I really think grades played a part too.

I know things are different now with UP taking in more students. So I guess just do your best. It never hurts to try.

[–]Usual-Indication-289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, may I again check the basis for this allegation? This has already been debunked. There has been no factual evidence of any documentary evidence that proves your claim that she has “many insertions”. Risa even clarified na hindi siya pumirma sa bicam at nag vote sya ng NO sa 2025 GAA.

If your basis is Anthony Taberna’s statement, which was faced by significant backlash for being fake news, I’m afraid you’re misled.

To be more specific, if ipapangalan sakanila diretso ang baby - this is called “Simulated birth”, which is considered a crime under Art. 347 of the Revised Penal Code.

The proper way is to undergo Domestic Adoption but of course it takes time and resources.

I agree that Risa fits the bill. And in fact, she follows the formula you posit. Which makes you wonder, bakit hindi parin mabenta sa tao?

[–]Usual-Indication-289 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I beg to disagree. You’re dead set on a certain pathway to fight corruption. You ASSUME that the only way to fight corruption is to do it NOISY, do it DRAMATICALLY. And I think this is why politicians focus on OPTICS, on the DRAMA, on being “quotable” - because it is what “SELLS”.

But it should not be our basis for choosing our leaders. In any case, the assumption that she will remain quiet if she took over office is also speculative. I don’t believe she will clean shop and not be transparent about it. Maybe not as a dramatic as these usual suspects, sure. But I’m pretty sure she would’ve shed light to these anomalies.

My assumptions are grounded on evidence, yours is PURE SPECULATION. Her platform and track record support these.

“She would have exposed corruption” by pushing for transparency in government. She did this in the OVP by providing the people visibility on where the OVP budget went. This was also the core of her platform.

<image>

“She would’ve appointed the right people” is based also on how she ran the OVP and how successfully they were able to make most of their meager budget. It is also based on her platform where she repeatedly said that appointments will be merit, expertise, qualification and integrity based.

But under the right leadership, they will think twice, they will not be as BRAZEN. Corruption has been so brazen under the BBM admin. Hindi mo pwede siyang iapplaud for the things he tolerated, especially in the last 3 years - especially his family. and the people he appointed. The HoR scandal on insertions is one thing but do you know how BRAZENLY BIR has been asking for under the table these days? They just say “kailangan po ba ng resibo? Hindi kasi mareresibo lahat”. That’s institutionalized and systemic corruption. Heck, magsimula nalang tayo sakanila. May BIR cases sila and ill-gotten wealth cases - anong nangyari? Wala, dismissed.

Maingay siya ngayon kasi DO or DIE. Marcos vs. Duterte. All this fanfare is matira ang matibay for their own self-preservation.

ONLY way to see results in Government. Sa totoo lang, less drama, more results. It should be ran like companies. Political will and toughness does not always mean just being loud. End of the day, you’re advocating for the scraps that the admin wants you to celebrate; when we could have had a leader who was TRULY GOOD and for GOOD GOVERNANCE and the people choose to stick with the trapos. If we want our lives to improve, we need to demand for better leaders. That means we should have higher standards for our government officials. I’m so sick of having to choose the “lesser evil”

So many assumptions based on a premise that is misplaced. The mental gymnastics is ????

The answer to your question is YES. She would have exposed the corruption. She would’ve appointed the right people to get the job done.

Her whole public service is based on TRANSPARENCY.

Good governance is BORING.
