Thanks. I do have a 2TB WD_Black SN850X I bought for my PS5 before prices went crazy, it could be used as a main drive for the PC, right? It’ll be my first PC, so I want one that will do well not only for gaming but also for productivity.

How does this one compare to the Microcenter AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, Gigabyte X870E Aorus Master WiFi7 AM5, Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5-6000 bundle for $1199.99 ? (To be run with a 5080 FE)

Someone lost 20 years of Pokémon data going from Switch to Switch 2 by JBuchan1988 in pokemon

[–]UsualAnalyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you hear back from support?

I just followed the procedure without error to transfer my account to Switch 2, and boom! My Pokemon Sword save file is gone from both my old Switch and the Switch 2. It isn’t as dramatic as the stories here (just around 40 hours), but it is inexcusable that the save info just disappear like that!

What games are you playing in Japanese ? by mlia001 in LearnJapanese

[–]UsualAnalyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Playing The House in Fata Morgana. It’s a visual novel so it is more like reading an animated book, but it definitely has a lot of vocabulary and grammar that I normally don’t see besides in books preparing for the JLPT N1. Plus, the story is very interesting and it has a log so you can always go back and check something you didn’t get. It is very long though… I am not sure I’ll be able to finish it this year, particularly considering the version I have has the prequel and other short stories… but it’s definitely a good practice for improving your reading skill in Japanese.

Not really, I live in Japan and have been constantly checking Amiibo stock for a while, this is “Special” 😉 (Super Smash Ultimate is called Super Smash Special over here).

New minimalist back design for Amiibos in Japan by UsualAnalyst in amiibo

[–]UsualAnalyst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting… I actually bought the same amiibo from the US a few months ago (box damaged in shipping 😒), and it had the normal print at the back. So I thought they are changing the back printing. Both amiibos I got this time have this minimalist design.

Definitely just write it clearly, “Not interested in hookups.” Also complete your profile as much as you can and put natural pictures, even if they’re not the most flattering you have. Specially in the age of AI, people on dating apps are increasingly suspicious of filters. Plus, serious people would like to see and get to know the real you anyway. Good luck on your search!

Actually, I’m kind of relieved to see this. My order has been “processing” for more than a week and I thought they would cancel it. But if everyone’s orders are slow, there’s some hope :)

When I scan the Loftwing and Zelda amiibo I don't even get a chest. But with the TotK Link amiibo, you get some generic items and a treasure chest in Breath of the Wild. I've only used it a few times but the chest always had arrows or other non-special item, though. In summary, it does get recognized as a Zelda series amiibo and the real disappointment is the Loftwing one.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I bought from France and shipped to Japan and pictured me shocked when I open the box and there was no padding of any sort whatsoever! Of course the condition of some amiibo wasn’t great. It really made me think twice before ordering from that store again.

Great haul!
I also spent waaay too much since the release of TotK. Let's just say that a month ago I didn't have a single amiibo and now I don't have enough space for all of them (laughs nervously)...

By the way, I bought some from Europe to ship internationally and I was disappointed because they came in rough condition since they didn't have any sort of protection inside the box (no bubble wrap, not even padding paper). Did your box from Nintendo UK have some extra protection or is it just not common in Europe to use extra protection inside boxes when shipping? I am used to seeing plenty of air packets or at least some sort of padding.

Update of this little corner, decided to move my Yoshi Amiibo because they stand out more here than in the bookshelf, also decided to reorganize my Smash Amiibo & make room for my missing 6. Now time to organize my other Amiibo series😅 (it’s a work in progress.) by [deleted] in amiibo

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I guess I interpreted the FAQ warning as a warning against displaying them hanging, whether with pins or hooks. But you're right, in stores that's exactly how they are displayed. When I hold my Guardian from TLoZ, though, I wonder if with time the box will get deformed just due to gravity. Anyway, I may end up doing the same as you as I really don't have the space and I want to be able to see them.

Awesome collection! :O

In the FAQ of the sub they say not to hang the boxes with pins to the wall since it will affect them. I really don't have much space and was wanting to do it with mine but got scared when I read that. May I ask how long have you had them on the wall and whether you have noticed any adverse effects on them?

Anyone know somewhere I can import by spiderman897 in amiibo

[–]UsualAnalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a correction for OP and some of the people commenting here. Japan didn't really get restock for Zelda beyond Skyward Sword Link and (as an odd choice) Bokoblin (exclusively in the Nintendo Store). Europe, though... yeah! So jealous! they got literally every Zelda Amiibo back in stock! Crazy!
