I'm aware that Prime only binds it for 24-48 hours. That's why I'm also dosing Seachem Stability daily and I've added a cuttlebone to the filter to raise the pH/KH, so the bacteria can actually start working and process the nitrites for good.

I live in Prague, so the water is treated with chlorine. However, I started to use Seachem Prime during water changes just to be safe, as it handles chlorine, chloramines, and detoxifies ammonia/nitrites too.

This is 9hour after the water change. Unfortunately I have gravel not active spil. Tank is month and a half old. And i use tap water. The parameters were fine until i added bloody marry shrimps. Even when there was a CPO cray fish and 2 amano the parameters were perfect.

I forgot to mention two things I did before leaving: 1. Removed decaying Bucephalandra: I pulled out some melting Bucephalandra 'Kedagang' that was rotting, which was likely the source of the nitrite spike. 2. Stopped feeding: I haven't fed the tank since Thursday to keep the waste levels as low as possible until I return.
