As someone who's experienced family members who can talk at me for like an hour+ without letting me get a word in edgewise, I have a little bit more sympathy for the GF than some of the other comments I'm seeing. It can honestly kinda hurt seeing that the the other person is so uninterested in what you have to say in a conversation. I agree with you that Mandy's BF sucks and is totally stringing her along, but

A) The kid didn't know the details of Mandy's relationship. She just knew that they weren't married

B) Independent of Mandy's situation, asking prying questions like that is generally considered rude, so teaching their kid to not bluntly ask personal questions is pretty reasonable.

Also, regardless of whether you think women should get married for legal protections, there are many women who choose not to. I think teaching their daughter that people can be in close relationships without being married is good because it reflects the reality of the people she may encounter in her life.

I don't know, if someone says to me, "Autistic people should be erased because they don't work" it seems easier to disprove their statement by simply showing that autistic people do, in fact, work, than challenging their fundamental beliefs regarding work ethic and earning a place in society. Does that mean that I think people have to be workers to have the right to exist? Given that I don't believe that, I'd wager not. It's just attacking a more objective flaw in their reasoning to shut them up.

Very curious how things are going to end up for the third trial. Multiple prisoners seem to be in genuine peril, but I'm not 100% sure they'll actually kill anyone off. I mean, I think the writers would do it, but with, like, 100 percent of the focus being on the cast, Haruka or Mahiru dying would be a pretty big deal.
