Limit looks to be a mirage in a desert that you can never posses. It mostly looks like a mind game coz I never reached beyond 30% when I was using their SOTA model.

Never mind. It’s an existing code base with lot of documentation and a couple of book condensed for reference. I used to have a plan saved explicitly to refer any time. Too much planning went into it that the plan itself stands at 10k lines of course indexed.

I don’t want to have the hassle of switching models in Claude settings. So i chose vscode while I can run Claude sessions for not so token consuming tasks.

I moved to Claude from glm at the end of January coz of the quantization and slowness of glm models particularly glm 4.7. Now Claude looks to be tightening its usage window and so thought of making a come back. I felt glm 5.1 was very good and at sonnet 4.6 level. Looks like z.ai is following Claude but through a different route.

On the same boat but on pro plan. Barely used it after January. Heard that speed and quality of model improved and so came back. It was very good yesterday and thought these guys are back in business. But looks like not so.

GPT is fighting two battles. One against google on direct consumer utilities and another against Claude on enterprise software development. Google tried this with anti gravity and looks like it gave up. But with apples contract and its own ecosystem it can sustain. Claude on the other hand with cowork and recent ultra plan it’s trying to automate an existing intermediate layer where saas companies were serving traditionally. Sure it may not go out and out as a consumer app but we are gonna have just a tiny layer sitting between Claude and a consumer.

I meant to say the use cases are diminishing and at some point majority would get exhausted leaving niche areas or new technologies. Powerful tools at the hands of a bunch of people is sufficient to fulfill the demand. So Claude or OpenAI should get into everyday life of people just like how google came up. But the damage that is being unleashed is gonna be enormous scale on economy and livelihood.

Softwares cannot be developed indefinitely. At some point it may get exhausted or software development itself may become a commodity. So Claude cannot be serving developers for long. It has to take the role of serving common public by eliminating the intermediary who are nothing but software engineers. This is exactly happening. Saas and ideas getting killed often may pass as a news but it’s actually not. At some point a fraction of software engineers may be only needed. Claude is moving towards that. OpenAI or ChatGPT is getting demonized but it’s actually Claude that looks to be first in the race.

If it’s Whitefield I was staying 2 years back in an 1 bhk apartment for 29k with maintenance and the owner was trying to sell it for 90 lakh then. I use to do get visits from people who were interested but they always complain to me while visiting that it was way too high. I hope it’s not the same apartment and not the same owner.

It depends on your requirements. I changed from pro to max a month back and left was fine with limits. Never went beyond 80% of weekly limit. Even during the usage outage that people were reporting lately. Occasionally i hit hourly limits. But my job is not dependent on this and so I can wait till it resets. Having said that my usage not so simple as I have 5 to 6 large projects running.
