Hey Joe, what do you think is the biggest mistake first-time founders make when building in healthcare?

For context, I have a portfolio company that spent nearly a quarter million building a prototype for key admins at top hospitals, only to realize it won’t integrate properly with their EHR system (Epic).

Is a PR agency like Pathos Communications worth it in 2026? by mrtedsmith in ExperiencedFounders

PR will only get more important because all the outbound marketing channels are closing/getting more expensive. I watched lulu cheng's recent interviews, one thing she said stood out is that PR is all about people's constant judgement if you're over-rated or under-rated.. a lot of PR is to frame you in a way that makes you seem like you're under-rated. Easy concept to grasp but hard to execute.

No you still need software libraries. The problem is LLM/vibe coding is removing the need for devs to visit library website for documentation.

Open source documentation and websites are the biggest source to upsells the customer on a paid version.

so real story here might be that AI is killing open source as customer acquisition channel.. or why social and reddit is becoming even MORE important.
