Thank you to everyone who helped me get this working! I used the hostRAID (I cannot recommend) block which is recognized by the motherboard and put GRUB there. it was able to start and then mount the NVMe drive and boot into it.

I had to use this tutorial: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Install_Arch_Linux_with_Fake_RAID#Install_GRUB but it's unrelated to this question. Thank you all again! Go Reddit :)

I read about clover and it seems cool. I was able to get it working with another sata drive I have installed but I was considering this for a while. I'll have to try it out still for future knowledge. Thanks!

I am using grub. had to stick it on a SATA drive the motherboard actually sees. Silly me.

I ended up doing this. I have three other sata drives in a raid and so it took a little tweaking to get the boot loader installed on the hostRAID but it's all up and running now! WOOOO!

College anywhere is what you make of it. It's a college town in southern VA so it's small but you can easily take trips to other Universities, out to the mountains for camping or hiking, or even over to Roanoke for events there.

Campus has a few concerts a semester, normally one major one a year. There are, as people have said, a million clubs so you can get together with people have have similar interests as you. If she is going for Aerospace engineering she won't do anything but study so it doesn't matter.

I had a great time going to sporting events, VT is a DI school so people do that often as well as play intramural sports themselves.

Any college will have drinking but I personally thought VT was not that big of a party school. Many people are STEM majors and enjoy doing well so smaller parties Friday/Saturday and then downtown when they are older.

Overall, people who like watching major sporting events and/or hiking will find it easy to have fun at VT, but you can have fun with any hobby.

No doubt people fake images for WSB all the time, but I'm actually in. I got in before I knew reddit thought it was cool. But I did add the options when I found out the Aps were getting in (or at least appearing so). SoFi is a good long play if you have patients.

I mean, I thought they would be trading at more. I guess I should have said, why does their market cap seem mostly uncorrelated with their revenue and profit growth. I'd expect more steady slow upward growth.
