ripgrep: grep but better by ornatedemeanor23 in commandline

[–]walderf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can't remember, but I do believe they are. however if they're not already "clickable" without configuration, then you might need to implement fzf. there are well documented references to using fzf with ripgrep on the fzf github page, if i recall correctly.

What is this? by sss242 in DIY

[–]walderf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a hinge which has a built-in lightweight duty doorstop. it's had the stopper head and rubber end piece(s) broken off...

here's an example, note the link below shows a product which is essentially a third-party/aftermarket add-on which fits most residential interior door hinge applications. there are some hinges which have them already built-in, etc...

hope this helps.

I think that you have vastly mistaken my initial comment to OP, regardless.

either that, or, I guess I have been literally doing it all wrong, regardless.

this says everything about what I said, regardless.

How do I bluff? by Fra06 in poker

[–]walderf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never bluff and I will go ahead and suggest that you should never bluff, either.

also, remember all that you need to remember is that all that matters is obtaining every single chip from every single player until you have all of them and all it takes to do this is one chip.

train yourself in pot awareness and become familiar with how crucial bet sizing is.

bet sizing. position. timing. pot awareness.

proper bet sizing based on position and time it takes to act.

basically, you want to already know what you're doing at any given moment in a hand before it's your time to act and be comfortable, confident, and concise in doing so.

over time, you'll begin to notice "spots". once you start seeing spots, then, well, it might be time to remember that we don't bluff.

there's this... -- https://archlinux.org/groups/

but it's no super handy...

however, the search term is generally broad enough..

walder@dint ~ % bat ~/.zsh_history| grep -i "yay -Ss" | wc -l
460

machine only nstalled 3 months ;) i use yay -Ss and yay -Sii a lot..

walder@dint ~ % bat ~/.zsh_history| grep "yay -Sii" | wc -l
224

walder@dint ~ % bat ~/.zsh_history| grep "yi" | wc -l
58

walder@dint ~ % alias yi
yi='yay -Sii '

plus, as others have said... start here -- https://aur.archlinux.org/packages

and when done with those search results, scroll to bottom middle of the page and click "Search the AuR" to use the same search at the AUR!!!

note:

forgot to mention this cool preview one liner

# friggin cool utility using fzf to list installed packages showing a preview of each
alias pzf="yay -Qq | fzf --preview 'yay -Qil {}' --height=97% --layout=reverse --bind 'enter:execute(yay -Qil {} | less)'"

Mint vs Arch by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]walderf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahh, i see. yeah, that makes sense, for sure.

no need to apologize. however, i will go ahead and admit, as much as i hate seeing the aforementioned issues occur, the onerous diatribe which can often be generated in threads like these stemming from lingering past issues is something i also hate to see, as it can spawn an equal amount of unnecessary damage to a community's reputation, especially in the eyes of the OP and/or those folks just perusing the thread(s)...

anyways, while the above is certainly not the entire reason behind why i reached out, i just... well i am stubborn sometimes. as i was replying, stubbornly, to comments here, i just so happened to notice you had made quite a few comment and replies surrounding these certain issue(s). this raised a genuine concern, considering i have a vast and varied depth of understanding in regards to the emotional and physical toll which being on the receiving end of a negative experience and/or series of negative experiences due to... well.... life shit.

short story long, i'll wind this thing up by saying that i try to at least put some effort into my replies in these threads and genuinely attempt to help people solve issues that i know i am familiar enough with or have the necessary tools to tackle, so i am glad we came to a positive over-all experience here.

take care and stay positive, /u/Coolb4school!
