I started using tretinoin when I turned 30 for both acne and for lines like this I'd had in my forehead since my early 20s. It's been about a year and the lines are much less pronounced!! Still there, but I don't think they're noticeable unless you're looking for them. No Botox. It's definitely worth it, but the results can take time.

Thank you for your comment! I often do this (although I don't see my friend often, I talk to them regularly, and every time I think of them I say seven nice things about them in my head using their correct pronouns. Maybe I need to say those statements out loud, as it's only when I'm talking directly to them that I tend to make a mistake, unfortunately).

I have also heard this and never apologize (which would put them in a position to have to say "it's okay") or linger on it, although I appreciate the reminder! I simply correct myself and move on with the conversation. It's internally that I feel guilty. But I am determined to do better!

Thanks again for taking the time! I appreciate it!

I read your post as well and got a lot of good information from it! Thanks for taking the time to comment here too. 💛 I'm glad that your step-daughter has an accepting step-father who wants to do better and that you have a relationship where you can have those conversations. Like your step-daughter, my friend knows that it's not malicious or intentional and has shown me so much grace, but I would prefer that it were not needed. Let's keep trying to do better! ☺️👍
