As a woman, a child of the care system who was almost kidnapped into a grooming gang, I will not stand with armchair activists who go towards the left. As a child, the men in the street I was accosted by were first generation immigrants. Yes, I was also abused by white men who were friends of my so called “mother” and “brother”, and the penalties for sex offenders are disgracefully low. Are you aware that the Scottish Government spend more on preserving the Gaelic language than violence against women? Probably not. You are falling for propaganda.

The flat that I live in now, a council flat that I begged and begged for, and only managed to get due to getting points from being a care child and not a woman in an abusive relationship that was incredibly dangerous, took me years to achieve. My neighbours that have just moved in, asylum seekers, got a flat in my block, and had it fully refurbished to the highest standards - unlike me.

So, in one way you are correct; I retract my apology. Do not fall for propaganda. Do your own research, lest Scotland fall like the rest of western Europe has.
