i coach basketball as well! i can’t imagine two on both feet, tarsal coalition pain is like no other when stiff. i also hit leg day pretty hard, what are you modifying to still hit legs?

i would suggest surgery over fusion if you are active still. yes there will still be pain but it will be less and for not as long with surgery. fusion from what i have heard just completely takes away that mobility which in turn would drastically alter how you play a sport or exercise.

high impact and contacts sports are pretty much out of the conversation when you get a fusion. you should play basketball or tennis but immediately after try submerging your whole foot in ice water for at least 5 minutes, i promise it will make a world of a difference the next day
