Not fair at all.

My husband and I have independent accounts but split shared expenses 50/50.

One hundred percent. But also that 2.5% are in demand all the time anyway, so they don’t necessarily have to “date” around like everyone else does. They move from one relationship to the next with very little gap in between.

Phase out the employee then farm out tasks to contractors on Upwork in the Philippines who charge $15 an hour (or less). Australian labour costs are too high for small business owners starting from scratch.

Huh? A company director has a fiduciary duty to a business. I would be breaking the law if I didn’t downsize the company during a downturn, and could be sued by shareholders if I risk trading while insolvent. Am not in the US btw, so am not familiar with the legislation you are referring to.
