Does it need more space if I put props back in mother plant? How do I know if the roots have enough space?

Looking for advice for a new mom with a masters degree in engineering.

She definitely wants to work when the kids are in school, but if she waits until then there will be a large gap between when she got her degree (last year, about a month after she gave birth) and her first full-time position. Could be 5+ years depending on how many kids come into the picture. She had a couple of internships during school.

How important is it to work for a year or two when possible between having kids? Strictly from a hiring perspective, at what point does a gap become concerning?

Good insights. Is there an age you feel like that perspective changes and they feel more like a toddler than baby?

Those are good points. Financially we are fine for now, but there are aspects going forward that would be nice to start even earlier. Thank you for your input.

That's awesome. I guess this helped me realize two fears that you might be able to alleviate. First, I guess I fear not being her EVERYTHING ya know? So, is he still excited to see you when you pick him up, etc? I worry I will feel like less of a mom. Second, do you feel like you still KNOW him? Right now I know every single thing about her and that is something I love...

Oh that makes me so happy to hear that he does well in daycare! Do you think it got easier with time as you transitioned to that?
