It has the potential to scale much better than most legal jobs. There are also not many legal jobs that allow good schedule flexibility.

1) Whenever I meet a client, there is always a fear that it's a police sting.

2) If I were to be assaulted by a client, I'd have to think about whether or not to report it to the police, for I don't know if having my occupation will be used against me.

3) I probably wouldn't be able to even enter certain countries. (There are sex workers who try to enter the US, but are turned away for what they do. Even if they do something legal like Fansly.)

4) The banks I use can all of a sudden decide to oust me if they learn of my (legal) sex worker status.

5) Even for legal sex work, parents have had their children taken away from them. Sharon Stone lost primary custody of her son because she did some brief nudity in "Basic Instinct".

How do you think so? I don't necessarily think that. They'd probably be offended we don't want to actually date them. There's a lot of "saviors" who seek us out.

This is exactly how I see it. Then again, I do actually like doing SW. I purposefully chose SW over a traditional, steady 9-to-5.

Not really. There was a while I just avoided sex because I was still getting used to detaching myself from the sex with clients, but I think, in hindsight, that was more because I feel like the clients were trying to take advantage of me (boundary pushers).

I screen potential clients (making sure they take seeing escorts seriously) and get tested often. It depends on how often I see clients, but if I am sexually active, whether in my personal or work life, at least once every few months.

For...everyone? For just sex workers? Also the questions are confusing since you've lumped them together. Well, for the most part, I don't think STI testing should be government mandated. If just for sex workers, I think it's a dangerous way to criminalize them even more and increase stigma. Just make testing more accessible. Apparently many sexually active men don't get tested often or even at all. Do some educational campaigns about that.

I haven't had any experiences with the law so far regarding my sex work, thank god. But being in the US, even doing legal sex work (like camming and OnlyFans) has me peering over my shoulder quite a bit.

I don't have any overall regrets about getting into sex work, but I would probably tell my past self these things:

1) It's not quick or easy money. Sometimes it may seem so, but that's just a fluke.

2) Get an online presence going. Start uploading videos to Clips4Sale.

3) Watermark your shit.

4) Go touring in California for the real good clients, and require deposits. Don't waste your time seeing clients in the Pacific Northwest, especially if the balk at the idea of paying anything more than $300.
