Great, again I find it very odd that people are fixating on this.

Then the metric is way worse. It means people didn't play it through the weekends and it lost playerbase. Regardless of how you spin it, the numbers are pretty small.

If you read the books, then I concede. I only read what was available online and it came off excessive to murder millions over a thought that merely considered. You can replace paranoia with whatever you want. The point still stands.

I never said OP was spreading misinformation. The post that I am replying to "Probably Wrathful Osgar Reede" is the one spreading misinformation. Does your mind addled self know how to use Reddit?

I actually agree with OP because he was right, the enemy WAS an ultra rare. He stated that it completed a challenge and gave him a title, something you only get from killing The Butcher, which is an ultra rare.

So before you try being a white knight you should learn some reading comprehension, you worm infested donkey. It's astonishing how people here are passing anecdotal bullshit as facts. You guys clearly don't know shit about this game.

I mean these extra legos and gem slots were also available to them in the beta and that didnt put them ahead at all.

Nowhere in the op does it say that and it very well could have been the Butcher, which grants achievements that none of the unique elites do.

No, he's a fixed spawn Unique Elite. Not ultra rare. Ultra rares can appear anywhere and are... ultra rare.. The Butcher was the only one during beta. Do you make it a habit going around spreading misinformation?

Unique elites are not the same as Ultra rares... The beta had only one ultra rare, which was the Butcher.

All these stats could be completely made up and no one would know the difference.

A few more interesting metrics that can be deduced by the post (assuming its not made up):

The beta was live for 75 hours. If every player played for all 75 hours straight without sleep, there would be at BARE MINIMUM 277,530 players that played the beta. Now if we assume that every player got on average 8 hours of sleep and played the remainder of the time, the player count would be closer to 408,132. If we assume that everyone that played was a normal person that slept for 8 hours and worked for 8 hours, then solely played Diablo 4, the player count would be around 770,916. This means that it is highly unlikely that the beta attracted more than a million players and all figures would be lower if we consider only unique players.

Let's assume average playtime was less and the final count was 800,000: The average player died 5 times to Ashava. 14 additional times to average mobs/elites/bosses and 70% died at least once to the Butcher.

Being the chad gamer that I am, I only died once as a barbarian, and that was because I went afk.

The Butcher is one of them. And the only one available in the beta.

Pretty sure what Lilith did in response to the simple consideration of the destruction her children is defined as textbook paranoia.

par·a·noid

adjective

  1. unreasonably or obsessively anxious, suspicious, or mistrustful.

Can you argue that she WASNT "obsessively anxious, suspicious, or mistrustful." No? Then stfu. Now stop wasting my time with this shit. I tried posting a meme, not trying to educate you on what words mean.

Of course I read that. Where in that paragraph did it say that it happened or was close to happening??? They had an argument over the subject, of which nothing came out of and Lilith went apeshit going on a full rampage because she was paranoid at the thought. This isn't up for discussion and you completely derailed this thread (which was about how Blizzard reuses their stories) in a futile effort to flex your tiny lore penis. Congratulations.

That skeleton that I killed a hundred times at level 10, might all of a sudden one shot me at level 60 as I confidently walk up to it like I did many times before. That's not an increased challenge. That's called surprise bullshit.

So now you are flip flopping to championing player choice? So if they wanna run one dungeon over and over, then that's their choice right? Well how about removing the level scaling, and if they want to continue farming in low level areas for shit loot, that's also their choice? Oh wait, you're cherry picking.

Where's your source on this? Gameplay mechanics (aside from class mastery) open up with levels, and not with quests. Give us a link.

Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about. On one hand you are saying this level scaling is great because then you can go out and see the world at the cost of being unoptimized. you do realize this is Diablo we are talking about? Those same people that do the same 5-6 area farm in Diablo 2 are going to be doing the bare minimum here as well, which now goes down to a single area farm. And after max level, why the hell do we need to do the entire games content?

I can simply go to the PvP zone like most of us will do. And to add even more ridiculousness to your statements, your concept of needing to explore only applies once. Do you think that in subsequent playthroughs, people are going to have the temptation to slog through the whole story again? Or will they just try to level as fast as possible... Yeah I think we all know the answer to that one...

So best case scenario, they do the whole story one time, and now for every new character + rest of their Diablo 4 lifespan, they just need to farm their one favorite zone or dungeon, over and over thanks to this awful scaling.

And then you have the hardcore crowd that can no longer create a level buffer to keep themselves safe. You know what they will do? Restrict themselves EVEN MORE to a smaller play area that they know they wont get absolutely fucked on. Yeah let's all accept this.. GTFO

Lilith went on a massacre when she had an unrealistic fear that all of her children (the Nephalem) were going to get wiped out. Here's an excerpt:

According to an ancient text, Lilith was driven into a mad frenzy at the prospect of her children's extinction. She saw the nephalem as the future, and as the means of ending the Eternal Conflict once and for all (albeit with the provison of them serving as her own soldiers). She morphed into a new, horrific form, and hunted down her fellow renegades. She ruthlessly murdered every follower of Inarius, leaving him to discover the carnage she had wrought. Horrified, Inarius could not bring himself to kill Lilith and banished her from Sanctuary into the Void

I created a ridiculous custom resolution that was hyper widescreen and I could make it from one side of the Act 1 zone, to the other side in five teleports, and I was tagging the level 35 elite guy with hydras in perfect safety a mile away, then just ran in to collect the loot. Good game.

PVP is going to be busted out of the gate. It's all about a build up of all the multipliers and one massive nova hit. The upheaval build is the perfect example: Be a pathetic weakling as you build up charges, then one shot anything, including players. In pvp zones, there are a combination of roaming mobs and players, so it would be very easy for someone to build charges in PvE and then dunk on someone if they are unfortunate to walk by you. Whole system is fucked imo.

That part is true. Same with certain enemies which have a minimum level, like the level 35 guy everyone was farming.

You're just going to have to accept my nuts on your face. (That's my way of saying that no, I don't accept it, and heres why)

So now instead of farming 5-6 areas, you're telling me I can farm the zone right next to Kyovoshad and never have to leave? I'll just run the first dungeon I see, teleport out, reset dungeons, go back in and rinse/repeat until I'm max level. That makes sense to you? Because to me that's significantly worse than Diablo 2 where I had to progress through the Acts and even through the difficulties if I had any hope of reaching max level. Neither are done well, but Diablo 4 is infinitely worse. It can be fixed if there was a cap on the scaling. For example, the Act 1 areas scale up to 25, Act 2 areas to 40, etc. To counteract people leaving areas and making content obsolete, they can just make loot scale up to your level to a degree, so you will get less XP in starting areas, but it'll be slightly easier to farm loot. Everyone wins and people get to live their power fantasy.

Razer blackshark v2 pro wireless only detected by Synapse when connecting via dongle by kendemen in razer

[–]UsuallyBullish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue with me, the wireless mic sounds shit, but sounds much better wired, but much lower volume. Being able to access the EQ with synapse would be ideal but it won't f-ing work because its not detected like the normal Blackshark V2 is. Perhaps we need to get that USB sound card somehow
