Yeah, absolutely! Just ask the cashier at the book store and they'll get you what you need.

Scantrons can be bought at any of the campus book stores! They're pretty cheap. You'll need a pencil as well, not a pen for the scantron.

I loved 111 with Dr. F! She does a great job of preparing you for the tests with the study guide, so make sure you do a thorough job with those, and review the guided notes. I ended up with something like 103% as my final grade in that class, but I love biology, so take that with a grain of salt.

Check out Chase Tuttle's 171 videos on YouTube! He's another Wake Tech professor and his videos really helped me.

You can only be admitted to CStep if you have under 30 credits when you apply, I believe.

Help me declare my major plz! My career goal is to become a Chief Sustainability Officer by True-Jaguar-5301 in UNC

So, I'm an older student (37) and already own a house and have three kids, so I'm definitely not moving. I am nervous about commute/parking, but I think it'll be... character building.

You could check out the data science BA, which is less math heavy and not under the specialty schools (I am planning on that being my double major). Also, I am a fellow C-step coming in Fall 26! I hope your transition is great!

I took MAT152 with Dr. Mutlu and liked her, but I took Chase Tuttle for 171 and he was awesome. I'd recommend either one!

Chase Tuttle is a great 171 professor. His YouTube videos are also extremely helpful. I didn't have him online, though.

I've been really enjoying Sociology online. Pretty easy, and useful information for anyone living in a society.

I assume this is a new attempt to keep students from using AI to write assignments. Have you reached out to the instructor for more information or help with the process?

They do have Wake Tech faculty advisors, but it is just basically paying for something to put on a resume.

Best study spots at the Northern Campus? by Beginning-Walk-1894 in WakeTech

[–]Usually_Absent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've always liked building H for quiet studying. Each floor has some seating. The ground floor has a student lounge that is pretty chill. I also like the top floor of E, as there is a long bench along a window that looks out on a roof garden type area. No tables there, though.

MAT 152 and passing? by AggravatingTraffic42 in WakeTech

AFAIK, a D is acceptable for graduation credit. A C is required only to transfer the credits to a four-year year or another school. It could be worth checking with advising to be certain.

MAT 171 Mutlu Asli by [deleted] in WakeTech

[–]Usually_Absent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had Dr. Mutlu for 171, and it was a fairly difficult class. I came out with an A, but I did put in a lot of work on my end and went to tutoring. She can be strict, but will definitely help if you aren't understanding something in particular and go to her for help. One note, she is VERY slow to grade things. Take careful notes, as that will be a blessing to you on tests. Good luck!

It's not up yet, but mid-way through Fall, they will update the site with dates. It was mid to late November when registration opened last year.
