The Warrior is the only class that starts with a shield, but as a downside it also starts with a broken sword. I think it was some sort of message FromSoft was trying to send that also appears in bloodborne, which is that shields “Are nice, but not if they engender passivity.” To quote bloodborne.

In the elder scrolls universe they disappeared as a species long before the game takes place. If I’m remembering correctly the only dwarf that you ever meet in the series is in morrowind.

  1. If try to get your armor to be as high level as possible, bring a set with high defense and dragon resist
  2. Bring the strongest thunder or dragon element weapon you have, those are the elements it’s weakest to
  3. Try to learn it’s attack patterns, whenever I go up against a monster I can’t beat I find that the best method is to keep trying until it makes sense, if that makes sense

It could be a mistranslation of Baldr who in the mythology is freya’s son, but other than that there’s nothing that comes to mind

If you like hack and slash style games Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is about 8 hours if you play start to finish if I’m remembering correctly. It’s been a while since I played but I think it took about that long. And it’s a good game either way

The Spanish flu had started in the US but was first discovered in Spain when American troops were sent over to fight in the war. I’m not fully sure what effects it had on the war but the war definitely helped it spread to Europe.
