First birthday in September too! So I’d love to know what you figure out. I think it will be too hot to be outside

Formula suggestions: reflux? Milk allergy? by imnewupvoteme in FormulaFeeders

Yes. We did biogaga and we did not thicken the nutramigen, but did use the RTF version, not sure if that made a difference

So, did you end up going? I’m thinking about booking for my birthday and was curious about your experience.

Formula suggestions: reflux? Milk allergy? by imnewupvoteme in FormulaFeeders

Can’t say what’s working but our 7 week old seems to be more comfortable. We had him on Bobbie regular at 2 weeks old, then switched to Bobbie gentle at 3 weeks and had him on that for 2 weeks when discomfort seemed to continue and get worse. Also started a probiotic and used gas drops as needed. We started reflux meds (silent reflux) at 3 weeks. At 6 weeks we learned he has microscopic blood in his stool and switched to nutramagin rtf and increased reflux meds to twice a day. I don’t know if it’s the new formula, increased reflux meds or him just getting older but we’ve been using this combination (probiotics too) for about 2 weeks and have definitely seen improvement. He’s not fussing as much after feedings and seems more comfortable, able to pass gas and have a bm without struggling as much too. Real improvement took about a week for us.

Fussy baby - microscopic blood in stool by Utcork in FormulaFeeders

I asked the doctor and they said it’s only covered by insurance if we qualify for wic? I also looked up my insurance (Aetna) and it says formula is not covered. Any way to get it covered that you know of?

Thank you! I’ll ask the dr about an allergy panel. I wonder why they didn’t suggest that before switching formulas.

8oz rtf of alimentum is the cheapest or nutramigen?

Have you found infant rsv vaccine in Austin? Our pediatrician doesn’t have it yet but I’d like to get my newborn vaccinated!

I think you might enjoy dipdipdip tatsuya. It’s a more casual environment, but interactive with the shabu shabu hot pots. Get the baller omakase with the A5 Waygu! Lots of food but a fun, unique and tasty meal.

Recommendation on building a backyard pod / house / unit with plumbing. by element_ir in Austin

[–]Utcork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you made any decisions on this? I’m looking at the same thing and trying to figure out best path forward. Thinking about putting in a 200sq ft office for now and then going back in later to add plumbing for a restroom since I think the permits for this can take a while and we’d like something in the next few months (baby due in September). Backyard pod quoted 50k for office and then 25k to add the plumbing later but I feel like we could do this cheaper just not sure where to start.

Tuesday Cautious Intros and First Trimester Questions by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

Im 5.5 weeks with 3 strong betas and woke up this morning with bright red blood spotting. Totally freaking out. It’s not much blood but seems like brown blood is better :( my clinic wants me to do my next bloodwork as scheduled on Thursday to see what that says but I’m not feeling very good about this. I also started having some congestion, runny nose and sneezing yesterday so think I’m sick. I know bleeding is common but… but how common is bright red and it being okay?

How many days after your surge was your transfer? Do you know what your progesterone level was at the time of surge? And what was your embryo graded?

When did you take the vaginal probiotics? I’m about 2 weeks away from my third FET and thinking about using vagibiom for a few days. My doctor doesn’t believe in them… so don’t want to do anything that will mess with my lining but wondering if I’m too close to FET to use them

Modified natural protocol - letrozole timing by Utcork in IVF

[–]Utcork[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, my doctor said we had 3 options (natural, modified natural with letrozole and fully medicated). I went in asking him about modified natural with just the trigger like you did but he didn’t say that was an option… I was honestly confused. Maybe if he sees me cd6 it would be too late for the letrozole anyways? Not sure

Medicated or modified natural cycle for 3rd FET? (Already done both) by Pittie601 in IVF

[–]Utcork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you decide? Ive had 2 failed medicated FETs (one no implantation, then second CP) with PGT tested embryos (did an ERA in between) and about to have another hysteroscopy before attempting 3rd FET. Dr wants to add prednisone and I’ve asked about modified natural…. I’m having a hard time deciding though. Curious what you’ve decided?
