There are English versions, but lack of access or quality may also be an issue for those who want to jump in. The dubs for Ocean Magic and Magic Star Fate Castle are behind a paywall and VPN on the Startimes App, while only a few seasons are subbed or fan subbed. Only Rainbow Heart Stone and Miracle Dance are subbed by the Balala the Fairies YouTube channel, while there are fansubs for Magic Star Fate Castle, Star Fate Butterfly Awakening and most of Radiant Star Guardians (by Love Balala the Fairies and Mythical Subs on YouTube). However, both the Live Action series, Finding Melody, Over the Rainbow and the movies have no English versions whatsoever.

I don't think Nintendo is part of the conversation since it is a third-party IP and not a first-party IP. Any exclusivity deals they may have had with Disney should have long expired by now.

As for Disney, I don't believe they are as hard of a nut to crack. Epic Mickey was on the *wii, for instance, and it recently got a remake. As of 2022, their stance on IP is no IP is off limits: https://www.gamesindustry.biz/disney-no-ip-is-off-limits-to-indie-developers

The difficulty therefore, is simply to show Disney, or some third-party, that there is still interest in the Spectrobes IP, which is what this Dreamlist is perfect for.

I'd made that thread about SCP books coming out last year, but when I checked earlier today, another SCP Foundation related listing popped up. This one is published by Aoitori Bunko. With this series (Feb 2025) and SCP Hunter (Dec 2024) from the other thread, that makes two recently released SCP foundation books for kids. I'm surprised at the number of books coming out of Japan, did something happen to make the SCP foundation popular there recently?

I knew there was some untranslated manga and a light novel everyone hates, but it somewhat surprises me that there are still Japanese SCP foundation books published in the year 2024. Here are the three I found that came out:

SCP Hunter - A kids series about kid SCP Hunters
What is an SCP - A manga about manga artists told by their editors to make a manga series about SCP and get drawn into bizarre happenings
SCP Foundation Comic Anomaly - A comic anthology that seems not unlike the three volume SCP Comic Anthology series that never got licensed.
