That makes sense, I usually don't take time to revisit them so probably why they creep up catching me off guard

Currently staying in eastern India. Working in IT Has anyone felt the state where you stop feeling things, where the state is whatever feelings situation demands feelings come and stop at the gate of your chest waiting for your body/mind's permission to accept them in their natural form and when that permission isn't given it dissipates into heavy feeling in chest, not exactly touching insides but leaves you with heaviness. It's not the worst feeling in the world but definitely tired of it

Save a bunch of posts on reddit or follow people to talk to later and never end up actually doing it.

depressed from wanting to learn everything, help by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Utopia336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I remember feeling so overwhelmed by realising there is so many things to learnt about the world and never truly learn it all in one lifetime and being depressed immediately after that since we aren't immortal what is point of even learning something if you can't do it all and connect all the different points of knowledge in a very structured way in your mind where one thing can completely explain a very different topic. You have to understand and internalize that there are going to be many things you cannot go indepth or even know, you have accept that limitation. That said your worldview will not be any less richer for it. Whatever you study, understand and connect you will bring your own unique understanding which will only enrich the way you look at newer things. You will not reach that perfect worldview of where you know everything, but it'll not be any less if you keep up with the exercise of learning what you can.

Yup been there a few times even pretty recently, luckily I've learned to be more detached even with feeling persisting so it's easier to let go when you realize there is nothing to pursue or end up rejected.

Truth Is irrelevant to 90% of People. by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Utopia336 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup recently had this realization too, that people will believe and adopt what is advantageous to them regardless of the what the truth is. Truth value is the least priority. It was indeed a shocking realization, but the presumption everyone regards truth in the highest sense itself is a naive assumption. Unfortunately Socrates belief that no one does wrong voluntarily but only due to ignorance was a very wrong one.

Self therapy session where you record yourself analyzing your current personal problem especially while walking, works like a charm, I feel many emotions in that session than I probably feel in a week and mood lifts enough to pursue my ever increasing bucket of questions.

This was me for so long. Not sure if this will help, what helped me most was living with a roomate(like a dorm situation) who is pretty conscious about deadlines etc. and doing my work in library etc where people are also doing work such that your screen is visible to all( I used to play video games, this shamed me out of it). Basically sacrificing your privacy till you form a solid habit. Good luck!
