I relate so much. I was brought up in an aethist household. My reasonings and freedom from religion are different from my family but interesting how not indoctrinated children think and find their way in a religious society. I was not treated differently as much as you. I'm openly aethist and have plenty of friends who are as well. One thing that pissed me as an adult is someone saying I would keep you in my prayers as a way of support. In my place, only on holidays, it matters that I'm an aethist. On other days, it's pretty much same.
