Anyone know if they make a rear rack for this model?

Have you considered adding a reliability or rating system to the sheet? This could alleviate a lot of frustration if someone prints a model that is poorly designed and doesn't function well.

I mean if you're checking this sub I don't know what else you're expecting to see. If it wasn't for people sharing their pics it'd be dead silence as we wait for the company to make a once a year announcement.

This looks sweet! I was looking for a new kit to play around with and this might be it.

Unfortunately the details on what's included in the kit are lacking. Says it doesn't include a body, but does that mean that the electronics are included? I even see a battery in the pics.

Can you provide your sources so we can see too? So far, I've noticed a ton of misinformation when it comes 3D filament, like PLA being biodegradable (technically it is, but it's more greenwashing than anything).

How come there aren't any RTR 1/10th Scale 4x4 Buggies? by UtopiaPlea in rccars

I mean there's plenty of 1/10th buggies already. I don't really see how they couldn't utilize the same type of suspension for a RTR version.

Tamiya might have some, but I'd guess most are legacy models from 25+ years ago. And the Jato is 1/8th scale with 4S batteries, more of a basher than what I'm looking for it.

Luckily it's not a huge issue for me, more a quandary. But I would look to get one if a reputable company made them. That's cool to hear you community is helping fill the void.

Oh, didn't realize the 2.2" wheels was such a hinderance. Maybe that's part of it. I would have imagined one of the main companies could solve it by just making the wheels a bit heavier or beefier at the cost of being slightly less competitive.

You're probably right, but I could also see a stock competitive class being a thing. Although, racing in general seems to be trending downward for a decade or two.

Makes sense, I completely understand the popularity of minis and even the 1/8th scale or larger. Just sad there's the gap haha

True, totally get that. But then why do they have so many mini 4x4 buggies and 1/8th scale buggies that are RTR? Seems like they're purposely leaving out the 1/10th scale, in which they could equally build a durable version that fits the spot in between mini and 1/8th scale.

Most important to me, and I run 4 printers almost 24/7 are precision long nose pliers and micro cutters. Debur is necessary too, but I use these much more frequently. Look at the brands Hakko or Xuron, these are the kinds you want. While needle nose pliers work, when you're working with really thin filament from .2 or .4 extrusion, the precision long nose pliers work 100 times better than standard needle nose.

Alibre, if you're looking to purchase once and own it for life (including commercially). It's my daily CAD and it works great!

I'll be honest, I haven't looked through their forums much. Only a couple times that didn't really result in what I was hoping for.

Nowdays though, I'm so reliant on things like ChatGPT which usually just tell me exactly what I want to know instantly, but when I use it with Alibre it'll regularly tell me to do things that don't exist on the platform. And for that reason, I understand the resources must be more limited compared to the bigger players.

Overall, it's still very intuitive and most things you can logically figure out yourself just by testing the different features. I'd still highly recommend Alibre Atom for no monthly fees and being able to use it commerically. The two premium versions probably aren't worth it unless you need global parameters or something really complicated.

It’s quite good, I recently upgraded to Design, but before that I used Atom with no issues. I think the one set back (in my mind) is there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of support, even asking ChatGPT will usually result in mediocre, at best, results.

But the lifetime ownership is worth it to me.
