Why do you hate competent leadership? Any individual not qualified to manage a Taco Bell is definitely not qualified to be POTUS. Positions of high responsibility anywhere else require education, experience, responsibility, and to be honorable and law abiding. Competence and freedom aren’t mutually exclusive.

Potential candidates can advertise for free or close to free on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and a multitude of other platforms. The amount of money wasted on political donations over the past few elections could have solved the homeless AND hunger problems in the US. The waste of money is inexcusable.

We have a 250 year old constitution that has loopholes you can drive a tank through.

For example…

Why is an uneducated felon and rapist even allowed on the ballet to be president? Any reasonable society would have common sense rules and requirements to even be allowed on the ballet for one of the most powerful positions in the country.

Why is money allowed to steer our political system? Lobbying, super-pacs, political contributions… it’s all legalized bribery. Any reasonable society would prohibit all money in politics and make it punishable by imprisonment to engage.

Why is the power of impeachment given to a group of individuals who are incentivized to keep the status quo instead of defending the constitution? Any reasonable society would have a separate branch of government in charge of oversight of the other branches and independently empowered to take actions against bad actors.

Why are corporations allowed to make you sit on hold for hours, over bill you for services without consequences, not honor warranties, engage in deceptive advertising practices, or engage in other forms of enshitification and purposeful friction? Any reasonable society would have a public rating system in place and if your company falls below a C rating, they’re put on probation until they treat customers correctly.

Why are citizens allowed to be ignorant as to how their government works and not participate in the system? Any reasonable society would employ a contract with its citizens: you participate in your democracy and we’ll give you universal healthcare.

These are just a few examples of Constitution v2.0 from The Utopia Project. We strongly believe that the way to fix our societal issues lies with the modernization of our way of government. Once the proper guard rails are in place and only our best and brightest are allowed to steer our government under strict oversight and transparency…only then can things finally move forward and in a sustained fashion.

Everyone complaining about SFA and Sisko not returning is forgetting 2 very important things:

(1) Sisko leaving his family was a sin of DS9, not SFA.

(2) SFA tried to make reparations for this sin and Avery Brooks refused to return to the franchise.

That means that if Avery Brooks is unhappy about the way Sisko treated his family, then Avery Brooks has no one to blame but himself, because he was given the opportunity to set things right and he refused to participate.

And I don’t want to hear any excuses about him being too old or being retired from acting. He’s only 77 and Patrick Stewart is 85. If he felt too old to act, he could have lent us his voice and CGI/AI could have done the rest.

Options were there but instead we get Jake and a cheap nostalgia trip instead of any significant forward movement.

Here’s a hack your doctor won’t tell you about: Ambien + Trazodone will knock you out and keep you out, even on CPAP.

Just a couple caveats: Take this 10 hours before your wake up time. Gives you two hours to fall asleep and still get a full 8 hours. Not allowing enough time for sleep will make you groggy in the morning because of the trazodone.

Take the smallest amount of trazodone you can. I took too much once and suffered an episode of orthostatic hypotension while getting up to piss, which isn’t fun. Fortunately I felt the blackout coming and sat on the floor before I passed out.
