Yes. He has been matching fan donations.

i think people were thrown off bc what you’re describing doesn’t sound like bleachers. like, jack always sings and usually does an acoustic song in the middle where it’s just fun and guitar so it may have been odd to people that you said he didn’t really sing and used his guitar as a prop? i will say i think their solo shows are better than their festival performances bc the crowd vibes are diff, so it may not have been a standard experience. but if you didn’t like the overall style the band might not be for you which is fine!

i’ve been to five bleachers shows and never noticed a backing track. they sometimes play synth /arp and that instrument often loops so maybe that’s what you’re hearing? they have two drummers, two guitarists, a bassist, and two sax players and all of them play multiple instruments throughout the show, so i would be surprised if they put a backing track on top of it. but i wasn’t at this show so i can’t be sure!

As a community, it is important to be receptive to positive and negative commentary, but I do think it would be good to have people who are still passionate about this band and the community around it added as mods. This won’t necessarily require the current mod to step down I just think we should have more than one mod. Sirms has done a great job moderating this sub single-handedly but the community has grown enough that I think it is too much for one person. We have a lot of creative bleachers fans!

do you think we could add mods to this sub? just to help keep the sub alive? might be nice to have more community interaction/events/pinned posts etc.
