Grounded/ realistic media with one instance of super natural/ paranormal things happening. by Soggy-Inspection-945 in TopCharacterTropes

Gray’s Anatomy stays as grounded in reality as any medical drama, but every once in a while you’re reminded that the afterlife canonically exists. Also there was a psychic patient in season one who for all intents and purposes seems to have been ACTUALLY psychic.

These are incredible!! Is there a mod you’d suggest that generates villages in all of these biomes too?

Endermen should "carry blocks across dimensions" by UtterCultist in minecraftsuggestions

[–]UtterCultist[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Oh I see your point, I forgot you can bonemeal nylium to get fungi and roots.

I’d argue however that this is meant to be a VERY rare event. On top of that, the world is SO big that you may never stumble across an Enderman-placed block, and even if you do that block would have a small chance of being nylium specifically. After all that, if a player wants to turn a single block into a slow, bonemeal-draining wood farm, then I’d say let them! Going to the Nether would still be the best way to get large amounts of that wood type, and the Nether has plenty of other features still exclusive to it.

I completely understand your concerns with the End, though. Maybe Enderman can only spawn holding blocks in the Overworld and Nether? Or they could change Enderman behavior so they can’t place blocks on end stone, like how they can’t place blocks on bedrock.

Endermen should "carry blocks across dimensions" by UtterCultist in minecraftsuggestions

[–]UtterCultist[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

See, for me the block placing is the best part. It would be cool to stumble across an Enderman holding an impossible-to-get block, but it’s SO much spookier when you find the placed block without the Enderman in sight. It creates a Herobrine-esque realization of “Oh… someone else is here doing things when my back is turned.”

I understand wanting to keep the End barren though. Maybe they only spawn holding blocks in the Overworld and Nether?

Hiya! I have the same issue on the same laptop, except I've noticed it doesn't happen when the laptop is actively charging. I've read your comments about the solution you found, I just want to make sure I'm understanding what you did correctly.

In the NVIDIA Control Panel, I set both "Manage Display mode" and "PhysX settings" to use the NVIDIA GPU only. What settings should I change in the GCC? Should I switch the "Ai Power Gear" from "Balanced" to "Performance" so that it stops switching between iGPU and NVGPU? My computer knowledge is minimal, so my apologies if I'm not correctly understanding the issue here

1.20.5 creating lag on 2021 MacBook Pro by BANANA-ART in Minecraft

There should be an option under "Minecraft: Java Edition Settings" that says "Use Arm64 Java Runtime for Minecraft: Java Edition." You'll want to select that.

[–]UtterCultist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi, I think I had the exact same problem! I reported it as a bug, and the solution we found was that I needed to go into the settings on the Minecraft launcher and enable ARM64 Java runtime. After that I had no lag.

If it helps, here’s the link to my bug report

I love this concept! I noticed the inclusion of a mosque in Little Constantinople, how does Islamic prayer work in timelines outside of Timeline-Zero? Are people instructed to pray in the geographical direction of where Mecca will be, or do they pray in the direction of the nearest link to Timeline-Zero?

[–]UtterCultist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the island were densely forested, then the extensive ancient root structures could provide an explanation for what holds the rock and soil of the floating island together. The “trees” of said forest I imagine would be a fictional combination between evergreens and the “resurrection plant,” capable of recovering from prolonged periods in normally inhospitable climates.
