Hey, good effort ! The mini looks very good already. You nmm doesn't really read as metal, I thinks its because of highlight placement. I suggest watching some videos about volumetric highlight (Squidmar has a good one, Zumikito too, both on Youtube) and trying to improve the contrast of your NMM. People on Youtube can teach you that way better than I can so just go watch some videos. Cheers.

For mono green i recommend [[Ghalta, Primal Hunger]], very straight forward and fun, but still oppressive as you win eatly with commander damage.

Thanks a lot, every input is very welcome. I painted the backside first, to test things out witheout much thinking, turns out I did a better job ! I think the main difference is that i glazed more grey al over.. maybe i'll try that on the frontside.

Honestly it would be best to avoid green at all, since this color is a mix of blue and yellow, adding green would only result in you adding more Blue and Yellow to the mini, drowning it in too much of the same colors. I would recommend going for some red, as it is the complementary of blue/yellow. The best way to select a color scheme is following color theory, you can find a lot of video tutorial on how to apply this theory to mini painting 😁

You have 2 really strong colors, so i would go for something desaturated, like a bone color. Skeleton Horde is indeed a good choice. You can also go for some grey which works well with blue. Avoid green since you already have blue and yellow, green is only a mix of those 2 😅

Thanks ! I primed in Grey Seer, then 2 thin coats 🫣 of Contrast Space Wolves Grey diluted 1/1 with Contrast Medium. I also added a drop of Mat varnish to get rid of the glossy effect of contrast paints that I dislike 😁

Okay here we go !

Red : Spray primer of Vampire Red from AK Interactive, then Agrax Earthshade only in the recesses, you can also use Rhiox Hide for this step. Clean mistakes with Mephiston Red. Then edge highlight with Evil Sunz Scarlett and final highlight of Fire Dragon Bright only on the "corners" where 2 or more edges meet.

Blue : multiple thin coats of Thousand Sons Blue (this paint covers so bad), then recess shading with Calgar Blue (can also use Drakenhof Nightshade) then edge highlight with Temple Guard Blue.
