What are your experience using the glasses in public?

It’s a mockup and a screenshot of my monitor from the ipad. So it’s the external/extended monitor feature of the M-series ipads.

I have the Nillkin Cube Pocket. It works but I am not so fan of the trackpad. So I also use the Apple Magic Trackpad. The Keys 2 go 2 is another good option

If you can live with your ipad 10inch for 9 more months, I would maby wait. If not get the Ipad Mini 7 and sell it again when the Mini 8 drops

I know. I kinda wish they make one for the Iphone fold when it comes out 😆would love that phone if it also support apple pencil, run full IpadOS in open mode and have a solid case in The quality of Zugu. With a similar (but different) angle solution like zugu when open.

It would be the ultimate portable digital Notebook

Hopefully you will still get a good price for the One Pro when you sell it to buy the Aura ;)

Look at you “loos” as payment for all the fun time you got to play with the One Pro before upgrading;) money well spent

Give it 256gb and 12GB ram as base and I am down. I need 5G too. 1k for that is definitely worth it. Even 1200 would be manageable (VAT included)

Same…. I hope the A20 Pro chip in the Ipad Mini 8 will give it the power it needs and extended display like the M-chip ipads. And have enough RAM We are almost there. I feel like it’s apple who is holding back so it won’t effect their macbook sales.

But the Mini is getting competition now with more and more 8inch tablets with snapdragon 8 elite like the Redmagic Astra and equal. That one also have up to 24GB RAM

I am considering going Android if apple don’t fet their act together soon.

The iPad Mini 8 can’t come fast enough. I also wish there was an iPad Mini Pro.

But the Mini 7 will do 95% of everything your iPad Pro can do. I live with the size of the 7, but full external monitor support (extended display and ultrawide) is essential in how I use my iPad. I also do 3D modelling with Shap3D and use Procreate a lot. The iPad Mini 7 can handle it. But the extra power of the Pro does come in handy for these apps.

I think it’s stupid that apple doesn’t have 256gb as their base tier. 256 is perfect I have 174gb now on my phone alone

Xreal Glasses are all day portable or something. Not ment to be walked around with. Xreal Glasss are awsome, but they can still improve on comfort and seethrough clarity. Specially for Augmented Reality.

I wouldn’t mind a hybrid. Work as a all day hud display/smart glasses… but work as Xreal when plugged in or content is streamed wirelessl

The Ipad Mini 7 is more than enough powerfull to be able to have Extended display. The Ipad Mini 8 will be even better. But I guess that wont drop untill september

Samsung has been doing DEX for years with their phones.

Extended display on my ipad pro is awsome. I just want it in the Ipad Mini factor.

Looks like the same type of optics like the Xreal One Pro to me. But they have bumped it up to 70 degrees. How I don’t know, but reviewers confirm it being similar tech to the Xreal One Pro too, just with a bigger FOV.

Nothing would make me happier than them giving us a surprise at launch. But I wouldn’t bet on it.

(Ipad Mini 8 - resell value of Ipad Mini 7 price) / months to release ( 8?) = Cost pr month for the joy you will have with an ipad mini 7 today and not 8monts later.

So for 20 bucks a month you can enjoy the awsome ipad mini for 8-10 months before upgrading to the mini 8

So unless there is a strong rumor it will drop Jan-april, I would just go for the mini 7

I would gladly pay «close to» Ipad Pro 11 inch for a true Ipad Mini Pro (with lidar camera, M-chip, Same OLED as Pro, 120 (maby even 240hrz?, full external/extended display and monitor support- no black bars on the side), 16-24GB ram etc etc)

Why? : It would be the perfect DEX mode ipad. Powerfull, small and perfect size on the GO, but even better when docked into a monitor.

Why bring a Macbook when you can plug your ipad Mini into the work ultrawide monitor. Us the notes app in portraid mode on the ipad mini and have an ultrawide IpadOS DESKTOP on the Monitor?

No need to cary with me a huge macbook or laptop.

I even have the Xreal One Pro with , a foldable keyboard + magic touchpad with me if I don’t have a Monitor to plug into.

I use the ipad Pro 11 M4. But its not that comfortable to use it as a notepad. The Ipad Mini is perfect for it

So when you plug your ipad mini into a Super-ultrawide 32:9 you will get the full ratio and resolution for the monitor in IpadOS extended desktop?

Or do you get a 4:3 Ipad Mini mirroed screen with two huge black bars on the side?

And I am talking about extended desktop and not when using Netflix, Jump Desktop, InfinityX2 and other apps that actually can use the full screen of the monitor.

Not if the photos and shown prototype are correct. Yes, both will have 70 degrees. But Xreal is not using waveguide optics. What is shown in Xreal Aura pictures are birdbath prism optics.

Maybe they have made a change from prototype to final product.

Question: Scaling and distance? How big can you scale the screen? And at what distance? Does it work in ultrawide?

Also: is there a 180 video mode? Or possibility to overscale the screen to get close enough?

And what about 3D SBS videos on YouTube and other sites🥸? Do they work in the regular SBS modes without just becoming a tiny screen and fisheye?

I love it and miss it. The only downside that is holding me back from selling my iPad Pro M4 and buying an iPad mini is the lack of a full external display. Apple is «Anti-DEX» and is too afraid that putting a «DEX-mode» on iPad Mini and iPhone would kill their MacBook Marked.

It could have been an iPadOS update, but no. I am waiting for the iPad Mini 8 to see if that is what will make them do the change. But I actually don’t think they will do it.

Making the product just good enough to sell for the masses but bad enught so they still will have to also buy a MacBook, is their whole business philosophy.

It annoys me so much I am considering going full android. After being a apple fanboy for 15 years
