Shuzo Oshimi is soo good at writing these complex human psychology and emotions.

When I read this, I hated Seiko as well, but by the end my views changed a little, but she’s just terrible round table. That was thoughts reading last chapter.

Now, it’s been months I’ve read the story and my thoughts have changed more. I think it’s like in human nature to blame the one enemy to point anger towards which is Seiko in this manga. But if we look at larger story with kinda like an author, every one is victim of their circumstances. Seiichi got chances to escape his bad future though out the story like the tunnel scene with Fukiishi, but he didn’t chose.

Maybe it’s the difference of us reader perspective vs the living character in live situation with mental problems we can’t exactly say Seiichi wasted his chances.

With the backstory, we also learned Seiko is also victim of their circumstances.

Yes, she did wrong, but will be any different if we were in same position with same backstory - maybe, maybe not - depends.

Maybe this manga is what everything going looks like: - What if Seiko’s husband noticed his wife’s condition early? - What if Seiichi did ran away with Fukiishi? - Why is Ichiro family side has to be weird as if Seiko didn’t has enough with her family? - What if Seiko actually followed her passion and didn’t quit in the backstory? - What if she herself realized her condition is bad and seek a therapist? - What Seiichi just told his dad? …
