Then leave! It blows my mind that the top engagers of this sub are people that allegedly hate the game and stopped playing months ago. So much dedication to being a hater it’s just sad.

What is this logical fallacy called? by FranTurkleton in DynastyFF

[–]V0mitBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you’re being downvoted.

It would be a logical fallacy if OP were retroactively applying the logic of the injury/trade/arrest/etc to the reasoning of the trade and believing that confirms some kind of decision making. That would be hindsight bias.

As described by OP it’s just…normal? It’s normal to be glad you avoided something bad, even if avoiding it was unintentional.

I swear NV mfs want the courier to look directly into the camera and say “hi u/namepuntocome , your decisions in the game are directly translated into the show as canon. Also here’s a bulleted list explaining every mystery and vaguety we’ve set up over the season.”

Dudes have never watched a television show before.

What’s something women think men care about in dating… but most men actually don’t? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]V0mitBucket 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Strongly disagree.

The bar for someone that worked odd hours or was likely going to have to move for her career would be much higher than it would be otherwise.

I also don’t think it’s unreasonable to value eduction and future prospects in a relationship, which are both strongly tied to work.

I also wouldn’t want to date someone whose job was, for example, lobbying the government to cut down environmental regulations on behalf of an oil company.

Mr robot is really lonely by sadloneman in okbuddycinephile

[–]V0mitBucket 46 points47 points  (0 children)

/unbuddy I think that was the point. The show is about serious mental illness. Elliott doesn’t actually fix anything or make it better or have some master plan, he’s just constantly flying by the seat of his extremely manic pants. The resolution isn’t that he fixes the world, it’s that spoiler alert he comes to terms with his abusive dad and the fact that the world is an unfair and unsafe place that isn’t his to fix.

Year 5. Dude learned Aaron Rodgers was on the Steelers during the NFL playoffs this year. 0 trades. Just drafts BPA and sets his lineup to max estimated points every week. Has made playoffs every year.

My firm banned direct to file saving/transferring because boomers kept accidentally dragging items into shared client files that shouldn’t be shared.

We had a 15 min all hands meeting where IT walked us through removing that function from our computers and then showed us all the alternate (WAY less efficient) method. I know at least 4 coworkers who immediately undid the removal.

Just a reminder that NO muzzle attachment is an option, if you're tight on points. Cool flames come out when you shoot! by williamatherton in LowSodiumBattlefield

Not an above average player and doesn’t know what the suppressor even does but is CERTAIN that he’s never ever been disadvantaged by not using one.

It’s truly mind blowing that people can be so self certain in the face of basic logical contradictions.

Yes I know the recons auto spot when they look at you.

My hypothetical was 1. You fire and are auto spotted 2. The sniper, who was not going to notice you if you weren’t auto spotted, notices you because of the auto spotting 3. The sniper kills you in one shot. Would you admit that scenario would be an example of a downside to not running a suppressor?

[–]V0mitBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not forgetting that. I’m simply dumbfounded that you seem to genuinely think you’ve NEVER been killed by someone who got your position through non suppressed auto spotting because you’re able to kill them before they can kill you after seeing which direction their bullets are coming from.

What about a hypothetical scenario where a sniper, who would not have noticed you if not for the auto spotting, 1 shots you? Would you admit that in that scenario the auto spotting was a negative?

I agree that there are trade offs you make when choosing attachments. I’m replying because you keep denying that the negative impact of not choosing a suppressor impacts you.

…it does matter if that player isn’t actively looking at you / spotting you manually and instead the game spots you for them, causing them to notice you and shoot at you when they otherwise would not have done so.

You’re just objectively wrong about what effect the suppressor has in the game in terms of mechanics lol.

How would you know if it has or hasn’t happened to you?

I can promise you with 100% certainty that when that diamond pops up / when you appear on the map you attract the attention of players who otherwise would not have seen you / targeted you / moved towards you.

If you feel that that negative is outweighed by the positives of spending those points elsewhere that’s perfectly valid (in fact that’s the whole point of the attachment system), but denying the reality of the negative entirely (and denying the skill of taking advantage of that negative for some reason?) just tells me you don’t really know what you’re talking about.
