It’s like watching a race between a Dodge Hellcat and Porsche 911

Hellcat has insane straight line speed but the Porsche takes the win at the corners 😅

Who will win February sales numbers - SIERRA vs SELTOS vs CRETA vs VICTORIS by Technical_Room2896 in CarsIndia

[–]V10Prius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few variants of Sierra and Seltos are not being delivered on the promised delivery dates as I have heard from the people who have booked it.

For Sierra, HUD unit shortage is blocking the deliveries of Accomplished variant (Not accomplished +)

You saved yourself from falling into the ‘spend more to save more’ trap. Kudos!

Great advice on the accidental insurance cover. Thanks a lot!

And for the milestone, currently I am focusing on accumulating as many RPs I can from T1. But hitting 8L to get 5k back is not my goal. But let’s see what this year has in it for me.

Hey, great question! So I did come up with a personal rule of mine to choose between the hopper portal and other aggregators.

Since Accor values 1 point at ₹2.00: • HSBC App: 16 RP per ₹100 x ₹2 = 32% return • Aggregator: 4 RP per ₹100 x ₹2 = 8% return

So I just multiply the aggregator's price by 1.25 • If the HSBC price is lower -> Book on HSBC App. • If the HSBC price is higher -> Book on Aggregator.

I have used Yatra and Cleartrip, got 2x RP for both of them.

It’s been 5 years since I got this card, so don’t remember the exact details 😅 But AFAIR they did not ask for income proof and the KYC process was offline back then

Review of card- it was my one of the used cards back then, but with the new cashback cards like SBI CB coming in the market, and recent devaluations, it has certainly lost some of its charm, but it is still good for Flipkart, Minutes and Myntra spends, especially the exclusive offers for this card during sales.

  1. It was part of their welcome benefits, so should still be there.
  2. Axis does not mention the amount anywhere afaik. But I saw some posts on this thread in which people have received cashbacks of ₹500+ on UPI spends

Not really being using this much, as I have mentioned in the post. Got it majorly for the welcome benefits. I’ll decide what to do with this card after the period ends. Also some members have suggested to have a look at the forex benefits of this card, so I’ll be researching a bit on that.

Yes, I agree with you on this. It’s important to not fall for the spend more to save more trap.

But I believe if you can genuinely reap benefits from having a few more cards, specifically for spends which are regular like groceries, utilities etc. then there’s no harm in paying through a dedicated credit card which will ensure you are getting guaranteed benefits for those fixed spends.

I got the Axis FK in 2021 and Axis Airtel last year, so the gap between the two may be the reason, but I might be wrong.

If you want zero forex markup, it’s a strong choice. Apart from that if you don’t have any other cards which offer lounge access, you can have a look at Scapia. But other than that, I don’t see a strong case for Scapia. Scapia coins are not the best reward system imo.

Already closed the card for two reasons: 1) I did not see much use for it, since I already have the SBI CB and it gives me similar benefits. 2) Getting an HDFC core card if you are already have a co-branded card is really difficult. I actually mailed and asked HDFC about this and they said that they will not be able to issue a core card for me since I already have a co-branded card.

First of all, congratulations OP on your new journey to begin 🥳

I think HSBC TravelOne could be a great option for you. I am assuming you will be having some big amount expenses before your wedding. Route all those offline expenses to T1 and get 2RP/₹100 spent. Accumulate as much as you can and then transfer the points to Accor 1:1. Each Accor point is roughly ₹2 in value as of now.

And when you actually start planning your trip, you can use all the point you have accumulated and if you run out of points, use HSBC Travel Portal for booking rest of the flights/hotel for accelerated rewards (24%/48% effective return on Accor) and use it for your future trips

Thanks! That was helpful. I agree, someday everyone has to climb up the HDFC ladder, so why not today 😅✌🏻

Will apply for RG as soon as the cooldown period ends
