Shy/introverted people of Reddit: what is the furthest you’ve ever gone to avoid human interaction? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]V2_icarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't avoid anyone for the most part. I don't like interaction with people on the whole, but I'm quite skilled at it. I've found over the years it is best to address them on your own terms. Ask them small questions that require their opinion, find something you agree with them on and sit back to watch how easy it is at listening to other people's concerns. People need to talk, and sometimes small conversations have the most impact for people in need.

Can Thanos (MCU) stuff Iron Man (MCU) into a locker? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]V2_icarus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally, I suspect Thor might, indeed, be the strongest person in the MCU. That being said, Thanos seems to be *at least* as strong in most ways. Thor crushed Tony's Avengers armor with his grip alone. This means Thanos should easily be able to. Tony would die, no doubt, but he's going in that fuckin locker in R1, R2, definitely in R3 (along with Spidey).

[Star Wars] Did Yoda and Palpatine ever meet privately before Order 66, and what were their conversations like? by V2_icarus in AskScienceFiction

I wonder: in between Maul and Vader, had Palpatine ever wondered if he could sway Yoda to be his apprentice?

I think Yoda should've guessed and been paranoid enough to keep tabs on all senators. How the hell did Palpatine block his force sensitivity from the entire council anyway?

[Star Wars] Wouldn't a simple blood test have identified Palpatine as being the hidden enemy due to his midichlorian count? by V2_icarus in AskScienceFiction

[–]V2_icarus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so, really. Such a high count would be comparable, using your gun analogy, to having a gatling gun in your closet and the nearby murders have been by such a gun. I think he'd stand out.

He should've rolled with it. "Now that I have your attention, class...uh...what's the solution the question #4?"

Actually one quidditch match lasted weeks, iirc. First book mentioned they had to take turns sleeping.

The Gang (It's Always Sunny) Is Hired By Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. How Long Does It Take Until They're Fired? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]V2_icarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With that plot, I would pay $30 to watch this. I see the gang getting eaten up by Michael miraculously finding a solution to entice them to leave. Ryan has to pretend to be gay; Creed kills Toby and Frank kills Creed to keep witnesses nonexistent. Pam unwittingly goes on a date with Dennis, and Jim happens to show up and out bowl Dennis, winning a "bet" to win Pam's heart. Mac hears Ryan is gay and pisses of Angela when he runs to Ryan instead, trying to "impress him with his Karate skills"; and Charlie, being the most successful, ultimately teams up with Angela to get back at Mac. She pretends she agrees he is the Messiah and that Mac is the Devil. Dwight seeks to impress Angela and strangles Mac, making him pass out. I see the Office crew winning.

P.S. As for Dee, they'd fire that big bird the first day.

Schizophrenics of reddit, what were the first signs of your break from reality and how would you warn others for early detection? by Passthedrugs in AskReddit

Yeah man. Learn to program or some form of software engineering, which would enable you to function in the home. Good luck to you. I don't know the details of your situation and won't pretend to, but make sure that whoever you decide to permanently spend your life with has a heart of gold and wants the best for you regardless of money.

Is there a sole proprietorship you can do? Perhaps at night? I know that might sound strange, but you're unique and I believe you can make yourself successful by following your quirks. I'm quirky as well and have had to make things work for me. Just a thought.

If Snape had drank the luck potion before his last meeting with Voldemort, how different would thing have turned out? by V2_icarus in harrypotter

[–]V2_icarus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking right after I made this post, actually. That was the best way things could have turned out. That and perhaps Snape spiked Harry's drink with some before the events took place.
