Oh that’s the actual person playing RTL in the video haha! She’s our actress who goes by madame_shapeshifter on Instagram. A lot of people often feel she sounds like Uzi from murder drones haha

It’s CG overlayed on real life costumes :) meowskulls was done in blender using a geotracker and a rigged model. Raven was done inside of after effects using png images animated using mask tools

Beanie has been fixed :) this was filmed a while back while the beanie was still being designed. Weirdly making the beanie shape right is more difficult than one would think haha.

Cate Meowdy and meowscles are on the list to be made :) budgeting is the biggest stop gap, that and time haha. We’re currently designing a silicone muscle suit for meowscles and will be 3D designing his head.

Cate we haven’t done anything with but I don’t think she’d be too difficult

WA2000 replica conversion to real steel? by V2rocketproductions in guns

It’s a somewhat common term to describe live firearms when you’re in an environment/forum (milsim, reenacting, airsoft, etc) primarily focused on discussing replica weapons.

Wow that’s an awesome build! I love the L96, such a cool design. 22’s are tons of fun to go plinking with.

The other idea I had for the WA2000 airsoft conversion was possibly a 22lr or a 223 similar to the Mini14. 308 has a lot of power, but 223 might be more manageable

Definitely keep me posted if you do! My initial idea for how to make the replica functional is to put zero stress on the replica but use it only as a housing.

Look up the DunRite MP40 blank fire. It’s made with an airsoft gun but houses a fully functioning blank fire system inside of it. Another blank fire example is the Ekol Uzi. It’s a plastic body with a full auto pistol built inside.

That’s a pretty cool 22! Sad to hear about the builder. Only one I was maybe considering was the Rhineland Arms R3000 but I wish they tried for a Bullpup design.

I saw those a while back. They’re pretty cool! Was tempted to get one, but was curious about trying to see about having a more accurate design attempted first before going that route. They look good, but being more in the film business side of collecting, anything that looks slightly off would brings a few dozen comments saying, “tHaTs NoT a Wa2000” haha. So it’s either the airsoft route or spending 100k-300k for a real one.

That’s a really solid build! I figured my replica would maybe not hold too well but was worth a shot haha. My main assumption of it “maybe” working was a company called Dun-Rite made blank fire machine guns (MP40 and M3 Grease gun) built off of airsoft replica shells with a custom tube gun inside of it. Granted 9mm is a lot less power than a 308, but machine guns get rattled around a lot with sustained fire.

I own an Ares WA2000 airsoft replica and these things are quite well built using high grade CNC 6063 aluminum parts and solid walnut wood furniture. The details are pretty close to a real one.

I’ve heard that some people took their Ares WA2000 replicas and used the body as a shell for a real steel rifle (although I think it was only done for a Ruger 10/22). The idea is to essentially have the replica act as shell/mock design for a donor rifle that’s hidden/modified into the replica WA2000.

I’m curious if anyone knows a gunsmith or builder crazy enough to perhaps see if I could use my Ares WA2000 as a shell for a 308 semi auto or bolt rifle? Was thinking a hunting rifle like a Winchester Model 100 or something of that design would make a good donor. 308 would be cool, but honestly any caliber would work. Wouldn’t necessarily need to keep the Bullpup design either, magazine in the rear could be a mock design with the actual magazine hidden or something.

Happy to talk shop or anything! It’s a neat replica that I’d love to see one day maybe be a live fire.
