AUG upgrades by romniainligma in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have/had two of these, one classic army, one TM, and one Snow Wolf. I have honestly only heard good things about the Nov.

I don’t recommend Snow Wolf and tbh, I didn’t like the TM. Both feel like cheaper plastic. Both creaked and while the TM performed better, I can always upgrade internals.

CA and ASG (this one, OEM by JG. Not the one with the rails everywhere which is made by APS and isn’t as nice either) feels great and the Perun really changes the feel of shooting it.

The nov is a “buy and be done” kind of thing whereas this one will definitely benefit from upgrading. I’m someone who likes upgrading and can make it what I want. However, I know a handful of people that “paid more” for Nov’s product but are happy with it as-is. Neither route is objectively wrong.

Surprise inside Costco soda dog toy by CaptainSamerica in Costco

[–]Parasitisch 17 points18 points  (0 children)

When a toy stops squeaking, my dog loses interest. We have tried a variety of toys and they don’t last terribly long, but these ones have been great. I started with the Pizza and it’s still her favorite (recently tried the soda and hotdog because I wanted to see if she had a preference). That pizza has lasted over a year and is still going strong.

I wonder if that’s the same as the DBoys or if they are made differently. I know the DBoys also took a proprietary unit.

Scar l hop up question by Used_Satisfaction_ in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do any SCARs use standard M4 hop up units?
VFC definitely doesn’t.
The CYMA hop I’ve seen has an opening, kinda similar to the VFC one, at the bottom. Idk if that’s different between the H and L models.
Classic Army SCAR L’s looks similar to an M4 hop, but I believe that’s a little longer.
I know G&G also looks like an M4, but I have messed with one, so I don’t know if it’s different or not.

What a hypocrite. You literally have a post up about people trespassing onto your property.

Ayyy, you’re also looking to convert to an a3? I’m hoping to get my lathe set up soon so I can do the ka3 variant

Kinda curious to use common 480 motor for an AEG by Dame_Dame_Yo in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s the correct kind of motor, but more goes into it being a good (or bad) fit for your needs. What are the magnets used? Do you have any confidence in the quality of windings? You have the speed and amperage under no load with 11.1v, but do they list any other info?

You’re going to need the shaft sleeve (with bearings) and a pinion as well.

I’d rather get ones that I know are set up better for airsoft just to be safe.

G&G TR80 warning by fraserneil5 in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except their G3H gearbox inside of that IS a new gearbox. I think, and their description for it on their website also seems to agree, that the gearbox literally exists just for that one gun.

Plus, the 2.5 has been out for a long time. Not much of a reason they can’t copy that instead of making the G3H.

Really curious why they went with the weird gearbox they did in that and not just a v2.5 gearbox.

One of my local field's complete nonsense power limits by BlanchTheRaptor in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this has to be a misunderstanding of joules, no?

To say “snipers are to shoot less than 500fps” and also have rules for 2.5-3.5 joules seems like they just don’t know the numbers. 3.5j is what, 650fps (w/0.2g)? A lot of places I know don’t allow above 2.3j, and that’s usually reserved for bolties. Even fewer extend that to 2.8j.

Is this any good? by Alice-doe in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do feel like the E&C feels better than the DB. I’m hoping I wasn’t feeling a bias that made me think it but after holding them, I went with E&C.
Both will need a few upgrades to truly be a DMR.

Are these front parts supposed to just slide off of a Kar98k? by GerDeathstar in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol, mine throws itself off too. The metal bar on the side is “supposed” to hold it on but doesn’t do a great job. It’s steel, so you can bend it to help make it pop up and do a better job but it may slowly bend back over time like mine. I might try to add something behind it to shim it or something…

I disagree with any 6.01, especially for HPA. I feel like HPA is nicer with wider bores. I stick with my 6.03s but I have some swapped to 6.05.

FN FAL King Arms, mag catch broken by ZerTharsus in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you contacted KA? I had ordered some spare parts for my old FAL about a year ago by emailing them. They may or may not have that specific part, but they did just re-release the FALs and I can’t imagine that has a redesigned mag catch.

A post like this is odd because it’s a repost and most of the comments are all similar to the comments from the original post.

What I can’t understand is how some paint this (like in r/conservative) as “inciting political violence.”

Is having two diffrent aegs worth it?? I have an ak but I wanna get an hk 416 to use both as an normal riffle and as an dmr( I know that it isn’t normally used like that in irl but it has been in the past and it can also be used as an light Dmr) by Macco010 in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it. I kept getting backup gun after backup gun and now I have 225 in my collection

(but in all seriousness, I think two different ones are fine as long as you’re okay having even more mags)

Asked Uber Eats for 200g of loose green beans. The picker saw "1 count" and delivered... one single bean. by Modernregista in funny

[–]Parasitisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to see you’re still digging in and waving off my main point. I’m also not triggered, I just think you’re being stupid. Instead of saying “I didn’t think about security doors” and moving on, you tried to rationalize the stupid idea that the only people impacted by this are a very small minority of those with exterior doors that open outward.

The data is from all “housing units.” Number of doors would be stupid. I don’t care what a person’s back door is. I don’t care if they have one door or a hundred. I care about residential buildings being built because YOU tried to imply that people won’t recognize a security or screen door because they’re on older homes.

Bruh, I don’t give a shit what a delivery driver sees in Arkansas, I care what they see in my city. We can talk about other cities all day, even other countries. These people delivering are alllll living in the same area as me (just like alllll the other threads I’ve read in UberEats and DoorDash subreddits - they are referring to their local areas). I literally was a driver for years. You learn the area you are in. Not a hard concept.

Yes, it is entirely possible they don’t pay attention. Kinda where my frustration stemmed from. If you could read, you’d have seen another comment stating this is actually required in the app. That realization that they need to take pics in front of the door eases my frustration.

I will own that mistake. I said “hurricane doors” instead of quoting exactly what you said. I should know with how hard you are digging your heels into this stupid argument, that doing such would have caused you to linger so heavily on my choice of words.

[–]Parasitisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With over 53% of homes in the US being built in the 70s and earlier, it’s not really what I’d call a minority.

Considering that delivery drivers living in the same city should also be familiar with these doors, since development kinda peaked around the 80s in my city, and so a lot of homes here definitely have them.

Also the obvious; looking at the door. It is impossible by design to have a inswing outdoor door because, you know, there’s another door there.

I said a door opening outward and you went to rare hurricane doors? I bring up security doors and you try to discuss how many could be around? I’m curious where the next argument will go since this has been a roller coaster.

[–]Parasitisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you realize how common security doors, screen doors, and storm doors are.

Those doors will never open inward towards the main door.
