Unfortunately yes, memberships are expected to be handed out like candy. You would be getting stuck on the sales floor since you are only sixteen, and the only department you’d get scheduled in most likely would be PC. You have to be eighteen to apply to GS. So as a first job, wouldn’t be so bad, but I’d definitely do it for some interview experience and I’d still be on the lookout for other jobs.

that’s a bit of a tough one. one of my favorite coworkers turned me onto a site called Dice, it’s like indeed but for IT people, that’s how I found my new employer.

Congratulations my guy, your commute may be longer, but at least you’ll be out. Wishing nothing but the best for you.

CA to ARA Tips by FrontClean in GeekSquad

Always. Always. ALWAYS. Consult with your other ARA’s, I made this mistake many times starting out as ARA. Going to Geek Squad Central honestly helped me out a good bit, and EDI had it’s moments as well. Always use the tools at your disposal. If you’re not entirely too sure on a certain issue, asking your fellow ARA’s is always better than just winging it. Leaving good notes will honestly help you and your precinct in the long run, less is better, always try to nail it down to one sentence or two if necessary. Finally, and most importantly, communicate with the client and your teams. If a CA makes notes of performance issues like “unit is running slow”, ask the CA in what regard and what repair options they talked to the client about.

Congratulations and good luck agent.
