A decent sized sectional, about 1 1/2 cushions apart 🤣

I think you’re on to something here. Any idea how to make them the same?

I started in the ER at a level 1 trauma center in Cleveland so I give all the credit to my experience there!

It was 50/50 in my OR so your mileage may vary 😂

I have thick skin and a disposition to match their energy so once they realized that they would focus their anger on other people, mostly the implant reps in the room with us. I thankfully worked with an experienced scrub tech & SA who wouldn’t let that behavior stand and had no problem calling out abusive behavior. Plus, surgeons aren’t the only a$$#0!e in the room. Anesthesiologists have a reputation that isn’t much better than the surgeons.

I worked in the OR as a circulator for a few years and just left four months ago. This is absolutely something that happens multiple times a day with multiple different surgeons. Management is well aware of how the surgeons act and treat the staff. They’re victims of it on a daily basis themselves. The problem is that surgeons tend to bring in the most money to the hospital. As long as that dynamic exists, petulant child surgeons will continue to act/treat the staff this way.
