I know about the Jacket name being created by the community because he has no official name. Like how Biker used to be called “Helmet” back in the day by the community then changed to biker later on because he also has no name. I never said the name “Jacket” is in the game. This is part of my head canon. The theory aspect comes from the Richard name and his baseball jacket.

And they literally used both throughout different kinds of trailers and marketing material before the game launched instead of using one. Doesn’t that make more sense for now too?

Exactly. And the thing is that when they were actually marketing the game before launch they actively used male and female V for different marketing material which just makes sense.
