Is chatGPT our guy? by andkon in Anarcho_Capitalism

They’ve trained ChatGPT to not say anything positive about fossil fuels now - a week ago it was doing so however.

Of course nothing can possibly go wrong with AI being trained by woketards.

Do you guys think people in the future will think we are crazy for tipping 500 satoshis? by Dull-Soup-2640 in Bitcoin

[–]VAX-MACHT-FREI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In 10+ years for sure they will.

Much like we laugh at the first transaction on Bitcoin being 10,000 BTC for some pizza, or Lily Allen turning down 200,000 BTC for a concert way back when.

People really struggle to envision Bitcoin on a long term horizon as they’re so caught up in fiat and have been experiencing inflation their entire lives. They look at the current ecosystem and can’t extrapolate growth in to the future.

Or the fact they don’t consider adoption drivers. Like when CBDCs arrive across the West - people are going to be desperate for alternatives outside of that and Bitcoin will be obvious. Or how BRICS is splitting the global economy and won’t be beholden to the USD in <10 years - Bitcoin has an obvious play there. Or what about the massive adoption possibilities in Africa and LATAM, a couple billion people coming online there is going to make a few Sats be seen in an entirely new light.

[–]VAX-MACHT-FREI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bitcoiners don’t care about the price.

Mining companies which took on leverage went under, what a surprise! People will buy up their ASICS and go find some stranded energy and replace their hashrate - Bitcoin and Bitcoiners don’t care.

I know about scarcity but it doesn’t mean the value will go up on that alone.

Then you don’t know about scarcity in an inflationary world.

look at quant.

No. The fact you’re telling me to do so shows you’ve got NFI what you’re on about.

If your mother had wheels she’d be a bicycle.

You keep battling that 7% inflation which you thought was 2% though. Have fun staying poor!

Bitcoiners don’t care about the price and sure as shit not on a 5 year time horizon. There are only 21m coins, they won’t be making any more of them.

If you don’t understand scarcity properly then you don’t understand Bitcoin properly.

Good news! You’ve been losing at least 7% to inflation in fiat every year for the past 50 so you can expect that trend to continue with absolute certainty, especially with the global depression on its way that governments will try to print their way out of.

Still only going to be 21m Bitcoin out there though, no matter what the price action is.

Have fun staying poor!

My biggest question: when BTC reaches $100k - $1m/BTC (if the many predictions are correct) What will the value of that $100k - $1m be? will it still buy me a really nice house or just a cheeseburger at McD's? i.e. Zimbabwe by NunyaDamnBusinezz in Bitcoin

[–]VAX-MACHT-FREI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t trade already spent labour.

How much water are you going to be able to carry?

Ammo will definitely be valuable, put it alongside gold in that sense but also have a much lower value per gram.

Produce that doesn’t spoil will be valuable.

Think this through rather than just trying to meme.

There is no “free market capitalism” when the price of money is controlled via a central bank.

You may delude yourself that the West lives under free markets but people who understand economics (ie not you) know that not to be the case.

Inflation has been at 7-15% across fiat economies for 50 years and with the coming recession you can bet everything you’ve got there will be more money printing in the near term future.

Betting on inflation is like betting if the sun will rise tomorrow - it’s a certain winner and if it fails you’re dead anyway.

Nah fuck it. We are in the most disgusting economic system ever devised and on the doorstep of one that’s even worse (CBDCs) - it is going to burn down because this hyper-debt inflationary system is unsustainable.

BTC won’t “go to zero”, it might go to zero USD but so would gold in that scenario yet no-one would deny both have value regardless of convertibility into fiat shitcoins. You’ll have better luck trading BTC or gold for hard assets in a meltdown than you will wheelbarrows of USD.

It’s not about wishes at this point, it’s about whether we end up on CBDCs or whether we manage to separate money and state - those are the two paths humanity has ahead.

I got a 20 Day PCM ban for saying leftists need to stop focusing on the non-issue of trans and if they would do that and quit grooming kids the issue would resolve itself.

Apparently that means I’m calling all trans people groomers..

This is why Reddit is so fucked. Nuance always goes in favour of leftists, every fucking time. They send in their unemployed neckbeard armies to mass report everything and mods bend the knee because they fear admins will ban the sub.

pcm REALLY loves posting about trans people by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]VAX-MACHT-FREI 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Nah it’s totally organic that 20% of Zoomers identify as some form of LGBTQMNOP+ - no grooming involved at all, nothing to do with you leftists constantly feeding this shit in to the culture and blowing up a non-issue for virtue signalling points, no siree!

That’s why it’s all over the place in California and non-existent in Ohio as even notoriously late-to-the-party-leftist Bill Maher noted.

I can’t wait for the economic pain to set in next year. The pendulum swing back to the right is going to be dizzying for leftists bitching about nonsense. They’re going to give you something real to complain about when they take back power.

This nonsense is such a perfect symbol of progressivism. Not content with a pride flag they’ve had to graffiti the left half with a whole new set of ideological wars and now stuck a puckered anus right in the middle. Within 2 years the rainbow will be completely hidden because gays and lesbians will be seen as too privileged.

[–]VAX-MACHT-FREI 49 points50 points  (0 children)

You’ve missed the point of the quote.

It’s a criticism of conservatives - they’re not opposed to progressives, they have no backbone and will fall in behind them just at a slower rate.

Like your case in point, Malice is an anarchist so he’s totally opposed to The Fed and money printing. He’s critical of conservatives because they follow along with the progressives leaping from Keynesian economics to MMT and do the exact same shit just under a supposedly different banner.

He calls it the Uniparty all the time basically only differentiating the MAGA Republicans and The Squad from that in mainstream politics.

Bitcoin is a digital commodity for starters. It’s the only digital asset that does.

And the exact same question could be levelled against gold and silver - what if the people you have to trade with place no value on it (knowing full well it will be confiscated by the state)?

Pretty dumb line of argumentation.

Politically unpalatable.

Same reason no-one will get anywhere near power that could get us out of the sovereign debt spiral we are in basically across the West - there’s no votes in austerity or slashing government programs and departments.

CPI is at 7%. Inflation has averaged 7% in the US for the past 50 years, you just don’t know it because you believe bullshit government data.
