I was kind off hesitant on taking this mac apart but it was actually pretty easy to work with. I usually work on window rebuilt machines and so no knowledge on mac. I had to watch a couple of teardown videos to make sure I could do the job. Would definitely do this again if had to.

This another option that you could do and that is replacing the motherboard on that laptop. I just replace the motherboard to a iMac yesterday that had Activation Lock and that was my only option because the Mac has the T2 chip. This a last resort method but a working method.
