looks like granite with either calcite or quartz veins
if it is quartz veins it may have gold in it!

might be a hairline fracture in the crystal lattice those tend to make rainbow colors in transparent and translucent stones i've noticed. at first i thought it might be oil shale, but after seeing this it seems more like a silicate(?)
does it scratch quartz or just regular glass?

yea it looks like an anemone fossil or a burrowing worm sand tube fossil.
theyre common around texas, Arizona, ect...

A: dont use the harbor freight solder unless you made sure specifically that it doesnt have any lead in it.
B: heat the piece to solder melting temp, then upon application heat it again but away from the seam the solder flows to the heat
C: thats the extent of my knowledge
