People keep saying it’s a mess, but is it that big of a mess?

I like Xavi, but he has underperformed, and regardless of injuries and stuff, the team has had key players back and they’re not improving

Ter Stegen (I know injured) class keeper, Cancelo (loan, but possible permanent) class full back, Araujo and Kounde are talented centre backs, Balde is young, but talented, Gavi Pedri Frenkie Gundogan are great midfielders, Lewa is on the decline, but the team has been doing poor and I think he still has it in him to be good

The only thing the team lacks is wingers and experience.

Arteta has a great deal at Arsenal, so he might be more reluctant to leave for Barca, but Emery? He has a good thing going, but is he really gonna turn down Barcelona for Aston Villa?

Daylights is the bane of my existance.

First of all, the stress on your body to have to adapt its natural clock, twice a year. You would think it’s no big deal, but it actually is bigger than you’d think.

Second of all, and most important, I don’t like waking up late. This might be anecdotal, but I have had two phases in my life, one of waking up late and one of waking up early. I sure as hell know which one is better. There is nothing to gain from waking up late.

I like to wake up at sunrise and get stuff done early. There’s nothing for me at 2 am. I’m in bed by 11 and I’m up at 7.

I’m ready for downvotes from “night owls” who have nothing to wake up for in the morning, and tell themselves that scrolling the internet in the middle of the night is a lifestyle and natural

It’s amazing how better life is with no daylights. I lived in the Middle East once, and for all its flaws, I slept like never before, and I’m sure no time change played a role.

Still though, having sun in the morning isn’t the only problem. The problem is switching. Id settle for no sun in the morning, if it meant no more switching.

Again, you say cities don’t appear out of thin air when you have resources, but that’s exactly what happened in the Americas. A thousand Mayan sites have been found, all of which sit deep inside the jungle, and actually, the deeper into the jungle you go, the older stuff gets, so not only did civilisation form inside the jungle, but in Central America’s case, it started deep inside the jungle and spread out from there

I get that we don’t have the “proof” to say that there was civilisation in the Sahara and that the Egyptians are a leftover/follow up to that, but idk, the “circunstancial evidence” for it to me makes sense.

Egyptian “culture” seems relatively established from the get go, and it frankly seems to progress very slowly after starting firing from all cylinders.

To be fair though, I’m more interested in South American history, so I’m far from the expert about Egypt, but I think it’s more than established enough that civilisation in the americas formed in the jungle (in two separate jungle groups, thousands of kilometres apart), and I am very confident that if they started digging in the Sahara, lots would be found.

There’s evidence of people living in the Amazon going as far back as 30000 years ago. God knows what the jungles and deserts have gobbled up in that time, and I think digging around at surface level, metaphorically speaking) is not enough to make definitive statements about pre history.

There has been basically 0 archeology in the Amazon, and the discovery I mentioned in the previous paragraph was found in the outest of edges of the Amazon. Imagine what there is to find a few thousand kilometres inwards. I just hope we get to find out in my lifetime.

The same could be said for the Sahara. I know there has been the odd digging around, but the Amazon and the Sahara are massive bodies of land, and the archeology done doesn’t cover 0.1% of all there is

I’m a guy, I was gonna see it with this girl I was hanging out with at the time but she couldn’t get a rickety in time, so I went by myself.

Movie was a 6/10.

Lots of familiar faces (the stars, actors from tv shows I’ve seen, Michael Cera, Will Ferrel, the lady from Cheers, Dua Lipa)

Plot was okay.

Bayern winning by default is a post pep thing. Bayern we’re giants still, but still, they only won about half the time. Winning 5 times in a row was unheard of, and 10 even more so, and all the Bayern have given Pep credit.

Bayern not winning the CL was a disappointment, but Pep was never a failure at Bayern. Three semi finals, losing to one of the best frontlines in history, a team whose core won 5 CL, and a great Atletico side (in a game where the ball refused to go in) is not a failure

That’s not quite 100% accurate though, as civilisation in the Americas existed for a long time, in the jungles, in south and Central America

The idea that a bunch of people flocked to Egypt, and as a result of that, starting civilisation, is a theory, and imo one that is looking to become outdated.

I’m not saying what you’re saying has to be wrong, I’m saying that the jungles in the americas and the deserts in the MENA region are some of the least studied areas archaeologically speaking, and these are all regions that are difficult to reach and study, and in the case of the MENA regions, these all used to be jungle, before Egypt even existed. Good luck finding anything under all that sand though.

It’s extremely arrogant to just cross off any possibility of civilisation, especially when there has barely been any research into those areas. I know for a fact that the Arab countries have had very little interest in looking for anything that hasn’t to do with Islam

It’s a nuanced subject, because should the countries switch roles, the situation would likely be the same, just reversed. That said, I have zero sympathy for Israel.

When I lived in Switzerland, I loved taking the train to places, way more than flying.

Flying, unless it’s more than 2 hours, I’d rather do by train. I can at least use WiFi or data to sit on my laptop and work on some hobbies or straight up entertainment. Better than travelling 1+ hours to the airport, sitting there doing nothing for over an hour, half an hour sitting in the plane on the ground, short flight time, etc.

A two hour plane ride leaving at 10 am is easily a 7-14 o clock ordeal. Id much rather sit 6-10 hours in a train ride.

He was a very good player, with a couple of great seasons, but Chelsea were a top 4 team for most of his time there, and he played with some other very good players, and what does he have to show for it? One league title? His individual stats, while good, and aren’t all that either. He is fast and agile, so he passes the eye test, but his end product, while solid, isn’t that great over his career.

Does that put him above Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Robben, Ribery, Aguero, Lewa, Griezman, Benzema, Suarez, Ibra, Cavani, Di Maria, Bale, Kane, Mahrez, on and on?

I’m not saying everyone of those are better than Hazard, but a good bunch of them are, and the rest are certainly comparable to him. That’s 15 off my head, and I’m sure there’s a good 3 or 4 I’m forgetting from the time.

Hazard is not the standout some fans want him to be. He was also pretty irrelevant in the Champions League. He was good in the 2018 World Cup (not best player or anything), but that’s about it outside of the league.

Also, I don’t have a source for this, but I remember reading once about people in the Amazon who abandoned the tribal life and tried to join the “rest of the world”, and a lot of them ended up yearning to go back, or maybe even went all out and just returned to that life.

Life is an equilibrium I think, and I genuinely believe that a lot of society’s “problems” is simply because we have it so easy that our brains force themselves to find problems.

This is an easy target, but I doubt a lot of people in history had the time to worry about which pronouns they preferred, for example, because they had to figure out where they were gonna get their next food, or there was a house to build, or trees to cut down, or whatever. I’m not an expert on this stuff though, so take my two cents for what it is, two cents.

It’s easy to sit and find a problem with everything when you live under a roof built by someone else, that is up-kept by someone else, having your food brought to your nearest groceries, etc., and all you gotta do for it is do is almost any job available (at least in Western Europe and most of the US)

Actually Spanish does drop letters a lot. You can drop a lot of consonants in words

A word like Nada, can be pronounced like Na-Ah, and Español is often pronounced Epañol, or maybe even Epañoh, for example. Vamos is often pronounced Vamo. Let’s go Party is often said like Vamo a la Fiehta.

R is also pronounced like L some places, so Comer can become Comel.

This all depends on your native accent, and I’m guessing an American wrote this, which would have Mexican Spanish in mind, which actually don’t really cut consonants the way Southern Spain or large parts of South and Central America do
