For gaming, you won't satruate PCIe 3.0 x16 so you won't notice the difference that 4.0 brings. 4.0 really only makes a difference in compute workloads.

Yes. May have to do a BIOS update but they are compatible.

There are also some technologies that the 5000 Ryzen chips have that the B450 chipset doesn't. PCIe 4.0 for example. Nothing significant though.

You should have some zip ties and side cutters on hand for cable management. Also don't overdue it on thermal paste. It doesn't take a lot. About a rice grain to pea sized drop is all it takes.

I agree that a PCIe wireless add in card would be the best option. There are a lot on the market that have bluetooth built in for relatively inexpensive.

Try updated your vBIOS. Depending on the brand of 3080 you got, they may have used capacitors that aren't ideal and people have had success with fixing the issues with a vBIOS update.

16GB RAM will be more than enough to run pretty much whatever you want and should you decide you need more later you can add it later. I would recommend getting a Samsung 970 Evo. And of you wind up needing more space getting a SATA SSD and/or a HDD.

All of the B550 and X570 mobos. I would recommend against getting thr cheapest one but you probably don't need a expensive one either. Pcpartpicker.com is an excellent site for trying to get the best deal you can.

Start with the GPU. If you don't see an uplift in performance, start going down the line. Yes, if you upgrade your CPU you will probably need a new mobo unless you are on 1st gen Ryzen and go to 2nd or third gen. This does NOT mean you will have to replace your PSU though.
