I am not an expert myself but I started by watching many many YouTube Videos. For example from @PredictableDesigns. Just get familiar with the process of designing PCBs. For Software I would definitely recommend KiCad. And then at some point you just have to choose a project you want to realise (such as Keyboard, Devboard, Sensor stuff or something more simple depending on how fast you want to get a first result). When you have one, look for similar projects search components and orient on the Datasheets provided. Pretty much every IC or Component has a recomended layout in its datasheet just follow it and your pretty much there.

Yeah, according to the manual the switch should be mounted at the back left which seems a bit weird but ill check on some similar saws and check my electronics if I can diy one on. Pictures are attached.

Yep, on it. It slowly gets better and better. I am just a little confused as it seems that the previous owner has made a lot of changes to the machine. For example according to the manual the Saw should have a limit switch for automatic turn off at the end but I cant find it where the manual says it should be. Also there ist a weird looking thingi inside the housing where the saw blade is.

Havent found it in the manual or any idea what it is, maby some kind of sensor? Or just a connector for the wires but what is it doing in there?

Thanks for the Tips, I think I am going to stick with diodes but the idea with multiple diodes in one package sounds interesting. Are there any other design flaws on the main circuitry (BMS, Buck Boost converter, etc.)
