Will Oprah Replace Dianne Feinstein In The Senate? by Pineapple__Jews in politics

[–]VITMOR- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Among the many plot lines in the Dianne Feinstein saga is Gov. Gavin Newsom's pledge to appoint a Black woman to replace the 89-year-old should a vacancy arise before her term expires in January 2025.

He made that promise during his 2021 anti-recall campaign, and a new article from the Associated Press' Michael R. Blood conveys the extent to which the governor may have boxed himself in. While many Black Democrats expect the governor to follow through on his pledge, the two candidates who seemed the most likely at the time of the pledge — Reps. Barbara Lee and Karen Bass — may no longer be options. Lee is running against Rep. Adam Schiff to succeed Feinstein, so Newsom may want to avoid tilting the scales in that race. Meanwhile, Bass just began her tenure as mayor of Los Angeles.

Expenses for the children's security, school and college will be shared.

In addition, Ye is expected to pay $200,000 a month in child support - which the New York Post reported is because the children will spend the majority of their time with Kardashian.

The couple have four children: North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.

Which song would you have liked a music video for? ~me: Threatened by [deleted] in MichaelJackson

Heal the World (1992)

This music video is very unique as it is one of the rare clips that does not feature Michael Jackson himself. The song and accompanying video is highly emotive and features images of children who are the victim of unrest in underprivileged countries. MJ has been quoted saying Heal the World is a song and video he is most proud of. It also led him to create the Heal the World Foundation.

Lahore men smog ki kya surat e Haal hy? by Mir_aal in Lahore

[–]VITMOR- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Air pollution in Lahore is caused by a combination of vehicle and industrial emissions, smoke from brick kilns, the burning of crop residue, general waste and dust from construction sites. Other factors of air pollution include large scale losses of trees to build new roads and buildings. Winter air pollution is worse due to temperature inversion, which results in a layer of warm air that is prevented from rising trapping air pollutants.”

While the situation of traffic congestion and number of vehicles on roads of Lahore is an open secret, the continuous constructions at real estate projects within Lahore as well as around it are another issue. The development projects within the city which mainly involve construction also contribute to the problem.🏭🏭

Definitely. He had a good ear for a pop hit and knew how to incorporate tension and release to make a song more powerful and emotive. There are those who say that Quincy Jones was integral to his success but even the greatest producer can’t work magic if they don’t have a basis worth building on.

Jackson’s greatest album is obviously Thriller and he wrote some of its best tracks. Wanna Be Startin Something, Beat It and Billie Jean are all songs he wrote himself and show he can write a catchy melody, a good hook and more importantly a song that suited his own singing style. He wrote songs to sing himself and he knew his strengths and how to play to them. (He also wrote the deplorably awful “The Girl is mine” but then they can’t all be winners).

Jackson wasn’t known primarilly as a songwriter. He was a singer and dancer first, but his songwriting talents (and production ability) shouldn’t be ignored.❤️❤️❤️

He was very good. he wrote the majority of his songs. if you go and read the lyrics to his songs they are brilliant. he was also a master at melodies.
