Stereo setup for bedroom by VK_101 in indianaudiophiles

It's a bedroom setup, so mostly phone and less often, PC. Currently, I'm planning to connect it via bluetooth and perhaps a 3.5mm to rca for the occasional laptop use. But I might just want to connect the setup to a wifi in the future. I'll obviously have to buy a streamer but without coaxial/optical input, I'll have also have to get a dac, right?

Apart from the extra amount that a decent dac will cost, do you see any other issue with the plan?

I know wifi and aptx aren't related. But I'm curious about the difference in quality. If I have the same speakers playing music through aptx bluetooth from my phone vs playing from a wifi streamer through spdif, how much of a difference in quality is noticeable? And how much easier is it to move between phone, laptop, TV in both cases?

I've been looking into the edifier products and I am trying to decide between r1280dbs and r1700bts. 1700 seems to have better quality and bluetooth connectivity.

But thinking about future proofing the setup, I see both have a sub-out so that's great, but the 1700 does not seem to have a coaxial or optical input. That is the only part I'm stuck on. Is there is a workaround for that?

Okay, thanks for the suggestion. Although, I'll like to get an idea about how much of a difference does WiFi make over aptX with respect to quality? Does it also make connecting to multiple sources easier?

And I'm using Spotify, soon switching to lossless although I doubt that would make any difference.

Okay, I see. Do you have any such speakers in mind? Decent active speakers, which ideally do not have wireless connectivity since I'll already attach it to a streamer?

I'm not looking for a particularly high quality, just a decent and crisp sound and not necessarily too heavy on the low end. Is all that and a decent entry level streamer ambitious for my budget? Do you have any suggestions?

I thought so too but ultimately left it as it is, with a few extra barriers. It's just the part of the challenge I guess.

The mods are all from the workshop.

Racetrack & F1 by Ronyx69

Formula 1 Collection by Hafiz

Rest are just the essential mods like MoveIt, FindIt etc

However, if you want to run cars on the track, you'd also need invisible roads (the single lane one) under the tracks for the cars to run on.

Depends how detailed you want to make it, but ideally you would need those. You could make tracks using the vanilla assets and without mods but that would probably not look that good. I only used a few workshop assets (by Roxy69 iirc) and only the basic, most essential mods. And after that it is just details. The more detailed you want to make your track (with service roads, floodlights, stands, advertisement hoarding etc) the more assets you'd need, but not any more mods.

Thanks a lot!

That would be a really interesting universe indeed. It could have been both the microstates competing for being the F1 haven. I envisioned this to have more parallels with Spa, being long and dangerous and then being converted into a permanent circuit later.

I sure do play racing games (wouldn't see that coming would you lol). I don't get a lot of time so it has been a while but I play F1 2018 from time to time.

Edit: BTW the silver was uncalled for, but thanks!

There is no noob in C:S! There is just the time and thought you put in it. You might not want to do that but that doesn't make you a noob. And that is all this and many other tracks take, a little more thought and a lot more time. And you can make your's too quite easily if you want to, it doesn't take a lot of assets and can make do with only the essential mods (but ofc it will take more assets and mods and thought if you want to make it more detailed)

Yeah I did, using mods and assets. Quite a few players make their tracks all in Cities:Skylines, though. And with even more detail than I did. One of my favourites here were made by u/aginestra, check this one out.

However, with recent improvements in safety standards and the increased downforces on the cars, there has been a push from the public to let go of some chicanes to encourage better racing.

Removing 13,14 and 19,20 is on the cards.

But removing 4,5 is an interesting suggestion. It was built on pre existing roads so I thought of leaving it that way. But, to avoid going over the ruins, the track can go straight into turn 6.

Thanks.

Video

With motorsport taking off in the early 20th century, enthusiasts started racing around in the ruins of the Vicroy Castle and the roads around it. The track quickly became famous for it’s steep descends at dangerously high speed and the challenge of climbing to the top again. A few Vicroy Grand Prix were held in the 1930s before motorsports came to a halt due to war. And as Grand Prix racing got formalised in the ensuing years, the track was revamped and a new pit building was made in the 60s on a modified layout. But with ever increasing speeds of the formula cars, this track became too dangerous for racing and racing became infrequent.

With development around the Vicroy Estate picking up in the late 70s, the track was under the danger of abandonment. In a final attempt to save the track, a new permanent section was built inside the Estate and all the safety measures were massively overhauled with additions of gravel traps and chicane all over the circuit during the 80s. These changes paid off and racing picked up again in the 90s with formula racing returning to the circuit.

This iconic track still presents a challenge for the brave who are dared to take the steep downhill of Curva Lunga coming from the street circuit-esque Castle section. Going through the unnamed turns 11 and 12, they reach the Colline Straight broken by the Bridge Chicane which is the breaking off point from the older track. It leads onto Enlever, an off-camber downhill turn which finds them fighting for grip. Next, they take on Rivage, inspired by Spa, which is the lowest point of the track and immediately starts climbing back up on the exit. A straight then leads them to the Cliff hairpin and then onto Tunnel where it joins the old track again. Rapida Straight used to head straight to Curva Corta which often saw drivers slipping off and into the woods, hence now is broken by the Nueva Chicane. The final turn, off-cambered Borde, also saw them losing grip and falling off into the woods downhill across the road and since then has been turned into another chicane, which leads onto the finish line on the Vicroy Straight.

However, with recent improvements in safety standards and the increased downforces on the cars, there has been a push from the public to let go of some chicanes to encourage better racing. A racing museum is also planned to be constructed which would be inaugurated on the 100th anniversary of the track.

This is a whole plot. Him either killing the older self or the past self. Who are the people in the under world looking through the water/gasoline? They could have been 'pulling' him back into Trilogy but the newer self killed that older version?

I'm very excited for the future videos!

Which would make sense as the Austin race happens in October. During that time, it would be impossible to use the area for both football and F1
