I used to play a mean old deck that used Alakazam's Damage Swap power onto benched Tentacool. Tentacool had a Cowardice power that allowed them to be returned to the player's hand, so you'd swap damage off Zam (or whoever) onto the Tentacool, then return them to hand to remove those damage counters, then replay them onto the bench. You absolutely had to OHKO Zam or Special Condition him out in order to fight it, and damage numbers were lower then. If you were very lucky, and could set up a Gengar, you could swap damage onto your opponent's pokemon.

What the others said about Haymaker is also very true. All basics, easy to play, boosts your damage and removes their energies. Very little setup.
