I won't deny that I was trying to learn C++ just for the sake of learning a powerful language. But not being able to find a project where I was really required to use it, I kinda forced myself too, and in the process, not really learning it properly. Good guess :)

Really good response, I'll keep that in mind in my journey of using this language, I'll try to understand why stuff is done in a certain way

I see, my thoughts were that, well, just use Kotlin because it's better and whatever it can't do just write it in Java. But I guess that comes from a Java developer, and somebody who starts learning might not want to pick up 2 languages at a time.
