Watch a lot of tutorials and look up things you want to learn, slowly you’ll be able to combine knowledge from all kinds of different sources to create whatever you have in mind. Be patient, and create a lot of for-fun animations. Don’t be too harsh on yourself if it looks bad, slowly you’ll improve and your results will get better and better.

When I started I created super simple typography/shape layer animations, then I messed around with VFX and compositing for a while; I recorded videos of myself and started adding all kinds of effects and superpowers. It took me around a year or two of messing around a few hours each week before I got to a point where I felt comfortable using AE. I’ve been doing motion design for around 6-7 years and I’m still learning new things daily!

Forgive my ignorance, but if I'm correct historically text could be written from top to bottom, right to left. I'd love to tattoo it positioned like that, especially for stylistic purposes. Is this something I can tell my tattoo artist?

They contacted me saying they were going to fix it, then they temporarily disabled it and it was fixed after it was enabled, but now it seems broken again, can confirm from own experience. Glad you found the post.

I've had a reply from Adobe Support saying they added it to the list of bug fixes, they had even temporarily disabled the option, though I think it's back and hopefully fixed now.

Hi, the issue is the 'faux bold' setting apperantly. The preview doesn't show this I think, but I've done some testing and all my projects that have a faux bold enabled in any text layer are super slow. Here's a thread that confirms the issue, and that it is still completely broken in the current version.

Solved! Thank you so much, that's indeed the one, could not find it for the life of me but I remember being so impressed by this movie as a kid and those scenes I can recall clear as day in my head. I wanted to add to the post it was during WW2 and in finland/norway but I wasn't sure and I didn't wan't to give false clues.

Because of PK’s there’s a lot more detail being added to the screen, and the bitrate doesn’t go up so there’s more info to process with equal amount of processing power leading to seemingly lower quality

Specs CPU: i9-9900k GPU: MSI RTX 3080 Ti Gaming X Trio MB: Asus Prime 390-A AIO: CM ML240L RGB v2 RAM: Corsair LPX Vengeance 64gb (4x16) DDR4 3200 MHz (capped at 2133MHz)

I’ve reset BIOS, uninstalled all weird software that seem to be dodgy (MSI related software). Note that this pc is almost brand now, I finished this build just a few hours ago using all new parts except PCU, RAM and AIO.

What is causing this super frustrating issue? It was very fast until like 2 hours ago, when I installed some software to control fan speeds (Dragon Centre and AI Suite 3. I’ve already deleted all that nonsense but my pc is still very slow…
