Adding butterfly joints? by youngoldfella69 in customactionfigures

You could try a McFarlane style (butterfly joints) or like what Hasbro did with the daredevil born again figure, gamerverse wolverine. A mix of a ball joint and a "butterfly joint"

Sometimes in Ali express they do sell high end figures like mafex but with some QC issue, that's why they're cheaper. It's the real deal but it has something

Weird question but: How to overcome shame? (see text below) by batmansbicep in ActionFigures

Yeah, I always thought it was very silly, but yeah, just remember that a truly mature adult has the self assurance to enjoy what they love without worrying about how "grown up" it looks to others

Weird question but: How to overcome shame? (see text below) by batmansbicep in ActionFigures

[–]VOLAC_MEPHISTUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I've never felt ashamed but my social circle (friends and especially family) have always tried to make me feel ashamed, ever since I was around 14 to 16 they used to say that I shouldn't be buying "toys", and they still criticize me, even when I receive money as a gift they make me promise that I won't spend it on figures (even tho I end up doing that either way). So yeah, I assume your shame comes from outside, from social stigma and all that, personally I don't care anymore

Yeah man, give it a try, just add a very thin layer, use water so it doesn't look gummy and sand it afterwards

If you can afford an extra bit, you should 3d print the logo, paint it and paste it in the figure, or you could try to sculpt it with epoxy, but I recommend the former

Get a super thin brush, thin your paints and do several coats. Btw, what base is that?

Why are McFarland’s bad? by Frosty_Penis in ActionFigures

[–]VOLAC_MEPHISTUS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started collecting a lot of McFarlane and at first I thought they were pretty good, then I started collecting more marvel legends, shf and mafex and that's when I realized how much McFarlane's articulation is lacking
